I think they are two different versions (high toe and not), so best to be clear and specify which you want.  Good luck

Can anybody comment on the feel of a #1 (modern not vintage)? More buttery than a softtail or trad?

Going to be more demanding obviously so just wondering what the trade off is in return

Yes, more of a solid meaty feel and butter soft.  Is more demanding but not as much as the old school one.  Hands down best feeling putter I own is the carbon steel modern #1 with the bullet sole.

That’s beautiful - any feedback on putting with it?

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Putter came in today! David made a few last second changes, the double bend plumbers neck to change reduce toe hang and place the COG right in the middle of the face, and gave it a Modern “Old school” finish to make it unique. Stamped my last name on the neck as well which was an awesome surprise. Absolutley love the changes he made. The feel is fantastic and the shape is perfect. Worth the wait!!

I don’t have a standard plumbers neck to compare. I’d say a little less toe hang than that. It definitley feels like there’s less toe hang!

Speaking treating you well for years, how many of you actually game your Mills vs. just rolling indoors/collecting? Would love to game my Mills, but some these are just so nice looking/rare that it might be hard to actually put it in the bag!

The Trad II I post often is my #1 putter and was my most used in 2020 and 2021, in 2022 it will probably get a solid amount of play again despite new putters coming in. I've even thought about ordering a backup from David so I can just play mine without worry.

Got this one from him a few weeks ago. The man is a master. I think it looks amazing (my photos don’t even come close to doing it justice), but the balance and feel that are most impressive - second to none.

No other putters have even sniffed my bag since I got mine from David early last year! It not only looks great in my opinion, but it performs great. Feel and balance are second to none - and maybe most important in my mind, the sweet spot is in the right spot (middle of the pocket unlike many putters out there).

I used my Nellie Wings for an entire season and it still looks pretty good.

There is also David's Korean site, where you can buy grips and headcovers online, but be prepared to make a large order to justify the shipping:
