TP Mills - Post your Putter

Just received my order from David today. My first TP Mills

 

Round neck Flat-T. 

 

Purchased in honor of my son's birth this year.

 

I still have my dad's old putter he gave me when I was a kid.

 

Hopefully the little man can use this one after me! 😎

Yes! Great looking flatstick and lots of meaning behind it. That’s what it’s all about. Congrats on the son, and the great looking Mills!

My first TP Mills bought maybe 30 years ago. Stainless steel 1970's Touring Pro Series TPM IV. 

Recently cleaned it up and torched it purplish / brown.

Now it's too pretty to use, but a great wall hanger.

Earlier this week I received my putter from David. I'll admit...this isn't 100% what I ordered, but it 100% didn't spoil the process of working with David for me.  He truly is a 1 of a kind guy and puttermaker. 

 

Stainless Softtail - 360g - the widest he could make it - stamping left up to David.  Beautiful Etched leather grip.   Not sure what finish it is lol. I think its a standard light torch.

 

The best part of the process was the process. Took my order, didn't ask for money, finished the whole putter and didn't even send me photos 🙃.  A true surprise...and I love it.  So happy I have one in my collection now.

I just noticed his use of Y's and n's for the M and W stamps. Like he couldn't find those so said screw it and did that instead.

All stainless. A new nicely brushed satin Ming, brown oily torched but turning blue after 3 years Nellie Wings, and an older satin/polished mixed Softtail with black diamond face milling.

From my experience with quite a few builds he is like an artist, just give him an idea of what you want and let him do his thing.  Only had one out of 8 I really didn't care for, the rest are keepers.

I've noticed that on a lot of his putters, I think it's more creativity than laziness.  For example, the upside down 7's for the L's in Mills.

He also does a D for the dot in the i.  It's really neat actually.  It gives the font a very unique look you can't get from regular stamps.

 

One other thing I should mention, is the feel. It's crazy how nice these feel. Even with a fairly light mill on SS, it srill have a nice thud feeling. It's not clicky or mushy, it really is perfect.

I get that too I guess I looked at it from David's odd/quirky personality. Definitely wouldn't complain if mine was like that I'm sure my Mills has some unique stampings too.

I have a rare softtail mini super black diamond I would sell for the right price. If you’re just looking for a killer deal, however, then this softtail isn’t the one for you.

Trad II every day of the week for me. Yours looks normal in size looking at mine it's normal stubby/chubby.

+1 on the lefty fleetwood. I’m also expecting it around the time I’m scratch.

If there was a lefty Fleetwood I would have went with that model aswell.  Gotta go with what's available. Luckily his trade II and soft tail are very unique in their own way
