Based on my experience with Duo Spin I bet it's a good ball. Without reading about it sounds like a Callaway Chrome Soft. BB

A must try for me love Wilson staff stuff playing duo 2nd generation now and love it but wouldn't mind trying a duo with a spinny cover on it.

This is what I'm thinking. I hate to say it but I think the Chrome Soft is a very good ball but not worth the money they go for. Looking forward to trying these and hoping the performance is very similar.

Chrome soft are a genuine tour ball. Long, soft, heaps of green side bite, low spinoff driver, very durable. Stacks right up with regular ProV (better imo), but about half the price. What's not worth the money??

I agree with everything except the heaps of green side spin. For me the spin is not even close to balls like ProV, TP, FG Tour and even a mid level ball like Project (a). Or at least that's been my experience anyway.

But like I said, if the Duo Urethan is similar, then I'll be all over it. I've always respected Wilson Staff and their ability to keep prices reasonable. They seem to offer great value with all their equipment and balls.

[/quote] Yes.$27 a dozen I believe gonna b price.

Balls are a lot more expensive up here in The Great (Sometimes) White North. The weak loonie being the the main culprit. Likely could add $1 per ball, on a premium level.

Agree! Love the feel of the Chrome Soft, the green side spin leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth...

I find the Chome Soft to have enough green side spin, same with the Project a. Not ProV spin but a heck of a lot better than any non-tour ball. I love the feel too, I'm just guessing this ball will be very similar. I need to give the Snell MTB a shot, be nice to find a premium summer ball in this price category with a little better action. I'm sorry to each there own but I just can't justify ProV money when I can play this category and hunt down bargains for extremely fair dollars and loose VERY little performance. I love converting to the Duo Spin this time of year here in Northeastern Ohio. It's cold and the greens are soft and this ball feels like butter. BB

I don't play real hard and slick greens, and I usually try to keep it on the ground and not rely on spin around the greens so much, so my experiences probably differ from yours, so I will take your word for green side spin. I would still use it on a tricked up course though cause of the beautiful soft touch off the putter, which is probably the biggest reason I prefer it to other premium balls. But if the Duo has more greenside spin it will be my new gamer as it looks very similar in other areas.

I'm really loving this new range of soft tour balls, especially liking that the manufacturers are passing on the cost reductions of a 3 piece ball. Not sure Titleist gets off charging so much for a 3 piece though, seems a bit rich.

It says it's 3 piece in the link to the website page. Don't think they come out till January tho I hope I'm wrong.

Not to say this ball will not be released in the US but the link provided in the thread is for Wilson Sports
in Australia. The Wilson US site as this time does not show the Duo Urethane ball.

I am super excited about these. Love the duo. I assume they will bring down the price of 3 piece soft urethane balls. Hopefully companies will start producing these balls with two different compressions offerings. Would love to see these around 80+ compression.

There are many options for 80+ com tour balls, pretty much every tour ball except Wilson fg tour, Crome soft, BS B330RXS, and RX, U3, that's about it. The TM project a is a 3 piece 85 compression ball that is soft and spins. The Maxfli U4 is also 85, although sold out it seems. The project a can be found for around 26 if you look hard.
