Definitely iron covers and ball retrievers! Those are 1A and 1B.

If you use the plastic ones, those are the best. No need to worry about what cover goes on which head as you can see the numbers through the plastic. I must admit that I get tired of Messi g with covers but still want my clubs free of bag chatter. Answer -PING.

I use the Club Glove iron covers not to necessarily protect the irons but to keep clatter down and to protect the bag hood when I close it up.

I've always questioned folks who leave the rain hood on their bag 100% of the time and just unzip it and push it back/down for play... but what do I know, I keep score, check distance, log club selection, and get club recommendations from my Android Wear watch (which is pretty much the only time I wear it anymore).

Good gawd, get a load of this one. I already mentioned stroke counter, but this one is digital and can count higher strokes in case there are not enough beads on the other one. You attach it to one of your fingers while playing golf, but I suppose based on this picture that it will be suitable for golfers who prefer the ten-finger grip.

I think most golfers go full circle.

They start the game and get the bug. Then buy every accessory that they think will be useful. then after a few years, after they have trashed them. They begin to buy the ones a second time, that are truly useful. I get made fun of all the time because on my golf cart are a lot of Hackers Tools!

I am a 6. I have 5 towels, a retractable frogger brush attached to my Club Cart President. That has a 6" lift kit with 14" rims and 23" tires. It has a set of mirrors, a flip top rear seat, a 36" LED light bar (mounted on the cowl) Street Legal Kit (hasn't been installed yet) plus a bag rack that has two sand canisters, a ball/club washer, and an Ice Chest (little igloo sixpack holder)

but hey, I got all i need for golf, family outings, and a trip to Sonny's BBQ

LOL you must be like a buddy of mine who moved from here to The Villages near Ocala. He is in a section around 6 different courses. He has shopping ,restaurants and his new doctors are right there. He goes everywhere on his golf cart. He did sell his GMC Surburban and bought a small car in case he wanted to "venture out" any. Told me tho other night on the phone the car battery went dead because it had been sitting ever since he bought it a year ago.

Brush will metal bristles for cleaning clubs hanging from bag. Dead giveaway for a hack.

I wouldn't be without one... brass on one side, nylon on the other... I can go with or without the groove point, sometimes it just gets in the way. I don't quite understand the ones that have stainless bristles, though...

Club brush and iron covers seem counter intuitive. Protect and scratch...

Brass is softer than steel, shouldn't scratch the blasted face portion. Nylon is much softer and shouldn't scratch even mirror chrome. Putting clubs away wet/dirty is more likely to cause damage than cleaning with an appropriate brush.

I wish I had everything including work within golf cart distance. I mean it would be awesome.

I did get the street legal kit put on yesterday. So now I have blinkers, horn , regular headlights and a holy crap set that would bleach an oncoming car's retinas. Literally would just need a set of seatbelt a.

Those who say a club brush Identifies you as a hack, how exactly do you clean your grooves? I can't live without one. I wipe my faces off with a wet towel after every shot, then give them a good brush (with the nylon brush) to get all the extra dirt out of the grooves. Do you just leave the dirt in the grooves? To me that is a hack. Someone who doesn't take care of his clubs.

I do the opposite, that way I don't accumulate as much mud on my towel.

wet towel, and tee. wipe any heavy mud off with the bottom of my shoe.

How many guys in the US AM or even the mini tours use a club brush? I can't think of a single digit handicapper i know that uses one.

My towel cleans my club just fine 99% of the time. Maybe once a round I'll scrape a bit of something out of a groove with a tee.

And I also second naws-golfer's point that I can't recall ever seeing an elite player or his caddie with one of those brass brushes dangling from the bag. Then again I don't recall seeing Bones or Stevie stopping to use a ball washer by the tee box either...

Unfortunately, that's how so many fellers purchase and use gear around these parts. Based on what the "elites" do.

Me, I've got a Frogger brush hanging from my bag and use it quite often to clean the Pennsylvania fairways from my shovels. It works great....for me.

Personally, I could give two craps how the PGA tour pros' caddies clean their clubs. And, I give even lesser craps as to what others think of my stuff.

Vanity. I still don't get it.

It is nothing to do with vanity. The guy said not cleaning your clubs with a brush between shots was a hacker thing to do. That's obviously an untrue statement unless he considers Tour caddies to be hacks.

I also don't carry a ball retriever. Not due to vanity but because it's an idiotic thing to do. I've noticed that Tour players don't carry one either, presimably for the same reason I don't.

Tour players also don't put little neoprene booties on their irons between shots either. The fact that both myself and they don't do that is not vanity on my part. It's just common sense.

Can you get the bulk of junk out of your irons with a towel and tee? Sure. But if you think caddies for pros don't clean their clubs, you're out of your mind... they just get cleaned at the clubhouse after the round to remove anything remaining. Same goes for members at high-end clubs that club storage or offer the service. Not cleaning clubs on the course takes one more thought away while you play allowing more focus.

That said, I don't have a caddy, club-house staff, or desire to do a full cleaning at home after every round (though I probably do once a week regardless), and my home course that has a sad amount of red clay, so I'll continue to use my nylon brush during the round when need be, hacker or not.

I have played with many. (heck, I is one) :)

Wow, looks like they even got a "pro" model now.

(I'll betcha if Cameron came out with a Circle T model, they would get mad respect around here, and sell for $100)

Do you even read and do you even watch the PGA? I said I wipe the faces off with a wet towel between shots. Something literally every PGA tour caddie I've seen also does. But what do I know, because apparently cleaning your clubs is uncool.

Nice to meet you. Scratch golfer here who uses a club brush after every round and has one dangling from his bag. It's a nylon one as the brass ones can scratch the face a little if you're not careful.

I wasn't talking about wiping clubs with a towel. I was talking about carrying a brush hanging from your golf bag to scrub your clubs between shots. It seems it is yourself who did not actually read what I typed.

Here is my exact wording from upthread...

3 possible scenarios for why your towel cleans just fine 99% of the time: 1) we obviously have different definitions of "just fine" as I don't want anything in the grooves. 2) you're a sweeper who doesn't take deep divots that compact into the grooves 3) you are playing courses with different soil that doesn't include a lot of clay which we have in Kentucky.

Do you even read and do you even watch the PGA? I said I wipe the faces off with a wet towel between shots. Something literally every PGA tour caddie I've seen also does. But what do I know, because apparently cleaning your clubs is uncool.

I wasn't talking about wiping clubs with a towel. I was talking about carry a brush hanging from your golf bag to scrub your clubs between shots. It seems it is yourself who did not actually read what I typed.

You still didn't read for the love of God. I said I wipe my faces off between shots with a towel and then use the brush at the end of the round. It's not that hard.

OK, fine by me. I wipe off my clubs with a towel during the round and scrub them with a brush when I get home.

Of all those brushes I've ever seen used during a round of golf the average handicap of the users was probably around 20. But now I'll average you into that sample and say the average is around 19.8, does that help?

That's just never been my experience. I'd say probably 70% of the current college players I know have one hanging from their bag. I think it's a lot more common than you think.
