When you get them out in the light you can’t see as much of the “sparkle” but it’s definitely noticeable. These will go back. Too bad. All white with grey and an all gray would both be great additions. These will flop.

The low-top ’85 model has just emerged in three new clean and crisp colorways of black, neutral grey, and angelic white leather sitting atop white midsoles and solid gum soles.  A rather pedestrian mix of colors, but upon closer inspection of these Air Jordan 1s, they feature a light film of speckling on the main overlay and Swoosh, suggesting a wet look as if they’ve been rained on by the sprinklers on the green.

 

I haven't seen the shoes, but that speckling looks like it was added to the leather rather than it being a print (like the The Open Nike golf shoes).  It makes me think that with a little bit of acetone, it'll come right off.  Then finish it with a matter clear coat.

The sparkling might be pixie dust that helps you play better golf 🙂 Don't know if you want to remove it 😂

Maybe I'm being too critical as I haven't actually seen the white or grey, but first reaction is yuck 🤣

It's just a transparent reflective paint speckling. I'm going to assume you can't tell unless the light is bright enough

You can definitely tell.  I thought maybe it was just noticeable in the bright LED light in the store but I took a pair home.  You can tell outside just as easily.  They look like you have walked a few holes in dew and it's bright out.

Just got them in hand today, the speckling definitely appears to be just a light layer of spots over the paint.  Tempted to try to remove it as well.  Anybody tried it yet?
