Finding proper shipping boxes might be an issue. Some of those brands (that I can see) could flip for real good money (Fischer,Rossignol) Some not so much (Olin).

If they were asking sub $20 per set you should have bought most all of them (depending on condition of course). Again, shipping boxes and protecting them during shipping is a b**ch!.

That was my very first thought. Shipping a golf bag is bad enough - shipping skis would be problematic, I suspect.

Craigslist is...disappointing you could say. So many flakes on there - people calling at 2:52 in the morning, agreeing to meet and then never showing up.

My experiences on CL have been so poor that I've almost given up on it.

I've had decent luck selling on kijiji. Sold a nice pair of Rossignols that belonged to my son last November based off of sold listings on eBay. Of the skis pictured in the photo there wasn't anything that jumped out at me. Atomic, Fischer, Rossignol, Salomon, Dynastar, Head, Volkyl will all sell if they're from the last 10 years so as to be compatible with current boots and binding systems. Anything much older than that won't be worth it.

My problem is LOFT -- Lack of friggin' talent

Big Stu, I have that same driver. Blonde, Model 1, Hand Made. It has a really nice grain but not as nice as yours. I've never hit it and it looks like it was hit maybe once or twice. Picked it up a few years ago.

I have several other blonde Model 1s one has a X-100 shaft in it. But this one has the prettiest grain I have ever seen. The one Randy gave me with the graphite shaft is a blonde and that thing is a rocket as long as I do not try to kill it.

Stu-

"The one Randy gave me with the graphite shaft is a blonde and that thing is a rocket"

Would that Toney Penna Driver Model be "The Natural"?

The grain in your TP Blonde Mod 1 Hand Made is stunning.

Still have not seen a single LH TP Model with "Toney Penna" stamped on the soleplate. Not one.

Guess it's a question for either Charley Penna, or Nathaniel Crosby.

This thread really does go into hibernate mode right around after the last major of the year.

I thought it was only Minnesota where the golf season (golf club donations) dropped off, but it must be in the Southern states as well.

They will pick up here in SoFlo over the next couple months as the Snow Flakes either come down to ready their property or come down early. Oct., Nov., and early Dec. have been great months for me in the past as the Part Timers upgrade their equipment or their kids clear them out if they've passed since the prior Winter.

All Forged, all the time.
The Sets that see regular playing time...
67 Spalding Top-Flite Professional, Cleveland Classic Persimmon Driver, 3 & 4 Spalding Top-Flite Persimmon Woods, TPM Putter.
71 Wilson Staff Button Backs, Wilson System 3000 Persimmon Driver, 3 & 5 Woods, Wilson Sam Snead Pay-Off Putter.
95 Snake Eyes S&W Forged, Snake Eyes 600T Driver, Viper MS 18* & 21* Woods, 252 & 258 Vokeys, Golfsmith Zero Friction Putter.
2015 Wilson Staff FG Tour F5, TaylorMade Superfast Driver, 16.5* Fairway, & 21* Hybrid, Harmonized SW & LW, Tour Edge Feel2 Putter.

Found at summit muny gc about 3miles from baltusrol, 1980 was the last us open for BGC.

Moco-

From the range at Baltusrol during the 1980 US Open.

Titleist Pro Trajectory Balata with US OPEN and PRACTICE stamps.

Not bad for 38, but it seems to need a washing.

If memory serves me in a practice round-

Jack Nicklaus made 4 putts from 4 different places on the 18th hole, and Tom Weiskopf didn't miss a shot on the practice range. Both Nicklaus and Weiskopf shot 63 In the opening round, and Nicklaus added another iconic putter photo in the final round, bookending the "White Fang" in 1967 with the raised "George Low" in 1980.

Severiano Ballesteros, who had won the Masters that spring, missed his Opening Round tee time, and was DQed.

Well I could trade the real high end stuff in to PIA, for credit towards golf clubs. That might be a workaround.

This is a pic from my best GW yesterday (some of these things are not like the others...)

Anyone know anything about skis? I'd like to make a killing on some high-end skis (if I can)

The Rosignal’s are top of the line,

I guess so. How to tell if they are new enough for a place like PIA to want them?

None of the Rossignols in the photo are particularly new. They aren't the current shape of carving ski which features a shaped side wall. The blue Atomics and a pair of what looks like K2's that are partly obscured are the only sets of that style. Now if you're on the west coast, mountain skis are somewhat different in that they are wider and longer. For a carving ski, anything in the 160-170 cm range length wise will fit the most skiers that would be looking for used. Mountain skis you can go longer, say 175-190, but that's about it for the beginner market. Like golf clubs there are a whole host of variables that will determine the saleability if the intention is to make a profit. I would avoid cross country skis altogether. They are the long and narrow skis for flat land skiing.

Thanks Rex!! I'm going to hit the ball into my backyard net. I know this is a wound ball,in bad shape, so wonder if it will explode. LOL

From what I understand and I may be wrong but "The Natural" has a stamp on the bottom that has T and then a golf tee and then P ( I wish I could get my camera thing working) I have one like that with a S-400.

Found Mcgregor P620 bullseye putter and vokey wedge for $2..

Anyone have any info on the putter? I can't seems to find any info or pics on the web.

It's a bullseye putter, but the top of the tail end flares out little.

I'll try to post the pics tonight if that helps..

UPDATE:

Here are the pictures.. I've had a good week..

Mcgregor P620 bullseye putter (tailend flares out)

Vokey 60 degree, mint condition

Wilson bullseye designed by Arnold Palmer (I think this might be worth something)

Nike Pro Combo iron set..

around $10 total..
