That Mac V foil driver was a bomber. Played in a scramble with a guy swinging one. He was unreal with it. Handed him a more modern Adam's driver and he was 40yds shorter.

 

 

It's got my shaft in it (Ys Graphite Design) though unfortunately it's a Reg. That said if I just stuff it in the backup driver bag, I'm getting older now so my SS is definitely going more towards a Reg shaft direction. Original grip is still on it so I know it has never been tampered with.

that's probably more of a mental thing. The true difference in shaft flex has been debunked numerous times with drivers. The R will be fine.

I picked up a 4-PW set of Walter Hagen Commando Model at a local Goodwill for $10. They need some good cleaning (some rust on the heads) and grips would need to be redone, but otherwise good shape. Are these clubs worth anything?

Not a thrift shop but felt like it: a Dick’s sporting goods in the Seattle area a month or two back was selling the remake golf pride victory grips for 79¢ each on closeout. The cords were 1.29

All of my iron sets got regripped and I did a few buddie’s sets as well. :D

Last year I found a set of M P 33s, 3-pw, no browning, little chatter, and had to shell out over $24. They've been my gamers since, so I guess it was worth it.

Certain colors are half off every week. So they were $1.99 and then half off.

Exactly! I saw a set in a Play it Again Sports a couple of years back and they wanted $250 for a nice set of MP-33's with Rifle shafts.

They're not in bad nick. The 5 has a bit of a chip out of the toe and the 8 is from a different set (of Ultra 390s), with a 1/2" shorter shaft. But I'm not really complaining.

Yah, they're not putters. Those are kids mini sticks for street hockey. The holes and the curve are the give-away.

Picked up a set of those irons last year at an employee garage sale for $5, minus the 7 iron if I recall. Your 975 was and still is legit!. Played one for a good bit when they came out and have many good memories. Well done.
