Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

Just got my six dozen K3s and the ball is different, at least from my original K3s, in a good way. First, the not so good, the changed the double dozen packaging from nesting (like most golf balls) to single flap flimsy box. I only say it’s a negative because I like to use the double dozen boxes for storage in drawers and stuff.

Now, to the ball. The print is “crisper” and the cover less shiny, similar to the original ksig. The cover isn’t as “grabby” as the original ksig, but I like it much better than the glossy cover of my original batch. Has anyone else noticed the same thing? Have the K3s been like this for awhile? I think I bought mine around July.

New K3 is on the right in the pictures.

Yesterday, for the first time ever, I played an original K Sig (4 piece), which I found in the woods in pristine condition a few rounds ago. I put it into play on hole 7, finishing the round with it. On the back 9, I promptly shot a 37 (+1), my best 9 ever.

I had bought a double dozen of the K Sig 3 piece, but found them to spin and balloon too much on long distance shots. No comparison with the K Sig 4, which I absolutely loved. Feeling bad I never got to play them when they released.

wow - that's a big change for the K3. they looked like a cheap top flight you'd find when looking for your ball.

Just saw this in my email. Buy 3 KS3 2 packs, get free shipping. Only good starting today for a few days. Wondering if they are clearing out stock to make room for the new ball.

I was coming here to post this myself, but figured someone would beat me. Given that this ball has fallen off the conforming list, and the website says "while available", I think they're trying to clear out stock for the new 4 piece we all believe is on the horizon. Now I need to decide if I order a mess of these or wait (and hope) for the new ball to come available.

The original 4-pc Ksig fell off the list. The K3 is still on the list and that is linked right above your post.

The link is to Costo's web site, which has nothing to do with the conforming ball list (http://www.usga.org/...g_golf_ball.asp).

But I did recheck that list and the "Performance +" is back on the list. It had rolled off last month, as a couple of members confirmed earlier in this thread. It seemed that it rolling off the list and the fact that the website said "while supplies last" even before the free shipping deal seemed to point that the 3 piece was on the way out to be replaced by the new 4 piece. Now I don't know what to think, and am reconsidering taking advantage of the deal. But then I wouldn't need the 4 piece when and if they came out. Decisions, decisions.....

The only correct answer is to buy the 3 piece balls now and if/when a 4 piece ball comes out to buy those, too.

You’re going to need another golf ball closet DP!

You’re going to need another golf ball closet DP!

Just did the annual cleaning of the golf closet DSS. The Ksigs alone are over 12 double dozen and a few sleeves. And then there is the e6's, test box of the TP5X's, 4 dozen project a's, Wilson Elite 50's. And probably a thousand balls found while looking for my KSigs in the woods.

I'm a Ho Sir.

I packed up stuff when me moved and I’m proud to say my stock is pretty low. A couple dozen Snell Reds, about three dozen TM Tour Preferred, a couple dozen Srixons, and maybe a couple dozen miscellaneous sleeevs. Oh, and the TP5X text pack. I’m less ho’ish!

After reading this last page, with some of the guys saying this version of the K3 is different. I just had to go open up one of the boxes I picked up last week in Naperville. Yep they look different to start with the numbers are different in each sleeve.

:WTF: :cheesy:

Really? And the regular weekly Costco trip is tonight. So adding balls to the wine and beef?

Damm you MJ...I don't need more freaking golf balls.

Just left the Costco in Orland Park, IL they have no golf balls out for sale. They do have all the spring stuff out. New this year is an Under Armour stand bag for $99. They have a few of the Callaway marked down to $69.97. If I remember correctly if the price ends in .07 it is being discontinued.

I just checked on line and I don't see the Callaway leather golf gloves any more. I loved those things! :(

The Kirkland Cabretta Leather golf glove coming soon to a Costco near you. One can always hope :)

Wow! I was just taking a stab. Call me a prophet. Now let's bring on the new 4pc. Coming soon to a store near you?

Picked up a double dozen yesterday and I'm not seeing any difference. The model number is the same, the barcode is the same, the packaging is the same, the .PERFORMANCE +. ball marking is the same. The sleeves were all the same number.

Think I just added more balls to the golf ball closet...

That was the other thing I checked with mine. All the barcodes and markings were the same, the ball just looked “different” as seen in my pictures. And the double dozen packaging was different as well.

It's possible you do have a different version. All the packaging on the ones I compared are identical from the double dozen packaging to the dozen packaging down to the sleeve packaging.

I think Costco just suckered you in to clearing stock...If I didn't own 60 dz golf balls, I'd buy some more as well...

Woot! I guess they're worth giving a try, but I wish they had "Cadet" sizes for my stubby little girl fingers.

May have to give these gloves a try. Wonder how they compare the MG glove.

And now, back to balls..........
