I think the only thing we know is that there is a new 4pc ball on the conforming list and nothing to suggest that it's actually coming out.

I have a hard time believing there would be a 4 piece ball on the list if it weren't going to come out at some point, but when it might appear is pure speculation.

Remember folks that Costco put the 4-piece Kirkland Performance One (KP1) on the conforming list back in the day but it never materialized. No way to know why but perhaps the Titleist lawsuit was a factor. At any rate, I can't think of a legitimate reason for Costco to put it back on the list unless it's on its way. Also note that it's spin characteristics are rated M-H for med spin off a driver and high off of a short iron. This is the same rating as the Pro V1 and the current 3-piece Kirkland Performance + golf ball.

Costco has a deal for 4 dozen Cally Hex Tour Soft balls for $60.00 online. But alas...no new 4 piece...at least as of the beginning of Masters Week. It appears that is a 2 piece ball, the K3 is there...all that's missing is a 4 piece.

My guess is that the Titleist lawsuit may have held up production a bit, pure speculation of course. That, or T-sucker is giving us all a misdirection and he's going to buy them all up :D

The Hex Tour Soft balls at Costco right now are a 3 piece ball. Additionally the ball is currently not on the USGA Conforming Ball list.

Unless Costco truly enters the ball making market or buys the Quattro, I highly doubt you will see another 4 pc ball from Kirkland. Since there are no over run cores to be purchased, they obviously need to find another manufacturer

IIRC the 4 piece just showed up on the list some time this past several month (listed as being made in China rather than Korea so it looks like they have a new manufacturer). I can't imagine they'd put a new ball on the list that never sees the light of day; there's got to be cost involved in that, never mind that there must have been at least some 4 piece balls made to get on the list in the first place. Just doesn't make any sense to me to go through all that never to release the ball.

original ksig was in select stores. mostly new stores got them, but some ended up in other stores, albeit very few.

From the category of "how big of a HO are you.." after maxing out at one Costco, VNutz alerted me to the 4 piece being available at a Costco near him. So of course, I went there and picked up even more...along with another case of Apothic Red.

Man, hadn’t played the K4 in a loooooong time as I kinda remembered not being as Impressed as the hype. Good ball, nothing great, couldn’t believe what they were selling for on open market, glad I had access to cheap “good” balls and took advantage. I just busted out a sleeve today as I have 2doz left over and man, what a pleasure it was. We had a beautiful day, but held up well in the wind, was long and landed soflty with the right amount of spin. Wasn’t a soft ball, but not hard either. Huh. Who knew? :)

With the KSigs and the 3 piece balls coupled with the KSig gloves now, the golf ball closet looks like an aisle at Costco.

I'm guessing your wine closet looks like a Costco side as well.

 

PS I would have called it a wine cellar but am guessing Mrs Pelz's mother would have called that too highfalutin. :wink:
