Current USGA Handicap: 3.0

I have one goal for 2017. To improve my short game. While my driving and iron play are typically predictable, if I miss the free I lose 3-4 shots per round with chipping/pitching inconsistency. If I can improve this my handicap will once again be where it was several years ago.

The exclusive trip to the Callaway fitting center will allow me to learn more about how clubs are manufactured, why they are engineered in a certain manner about being fit to those engineer standards will allow me to play better not to mention how cool it would be to go through this entire process. Fun fun

Current USGA handicap: 12.2

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: lower handicap to single digits by limiting dropped shots off the tee.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: currently play mostly Nike gear and feel like Callaway is probably the manufacturer I'd look at first for any new gear. Worst part of my game is off the tee through long irons and I feel like Callaway makes products that would best fit my game. Never been fitted so how much better could it get than being fit by the manufacturer.

Current USGA Handicap: 7.0

Goals for 2017: Become a more consistent driver. If I could play from the fairway more often, I wouldn't have to rely on my short game so much.

Why I would love to attend: I already game the 2015 Apex Pro iron set. I also have the Jaws wedges, which I really enjoy. I believe Callaway is one of the best manufacturers in the business and I would gladly hit 14 clubs and ball. I'm also a golf junkie, so I would love to see the facility.

2.State the goals for your golf game in 2017:

I'd like to defend my Club Champion title, make a return to competitive golf on the state level and qualify for the 2017 Oklahoma Open

3.State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

I would like to be proven wrong. I have never found a Calloway club I was dying to have. I have a XHot 3 wood because I think it's the best on the market, but I want to know why Callaway is what I should play. I have never had a full bag fitting and would love to go through the process. Especially in the irons. I think it would greatly improve my game using clubs that actually fit me. I think I could be really competitive.

  • Current USGA handicap: 9.2
  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017: I'd like to add some consistency to my game and see if I can get back some lost driver distance. I'm looking at adding some golf specific fitness to see if all of this can drop my handicap down a stroke to 1.5. I'd like to compete in some area events as well.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I was last fit for irons 7 years ago and 3 years ago for my driver and fairway woods. I've been really impressed with the new technology coming out of Callaway. I really enjoy learning the technical aspects of club design as well.

USGA index:

1.9

Goals:

After taking some time away from the game, I want to get competitive again. Qualify for the MD Am and Open, maybe play in some USGA qualifiers.

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

When I used to moonlight on the mini tours I was fit over at Titleist's TPI in Oceanside... unlike any other fitting I've ever done. It's time to get fit again and I'd love another OEM to compare the experience to. Some of my favorite drivers of all time are Callaway (FT Tour, original Alpha, Sub Zero) and I'd like to see if they can get more products in my bag.

Handicap 10

Goals: shoot In the 70's consistently.

Why: I have been a ping player forever and I have started venturing out into other clubs. I don't feel they offer me what they once did. I have never had a full bag fitting let alone a driver fitting and feel that it could go a long way toward me reaching my goals.

Average Score 75 at my home course(par 71) about 6400 yds

My goal is to shoot my age(65) Have shot four under on each nine. Just not on the same day. I consider my goal very attainable.

Callaway has proven that it is a company whose expertise in club development is unmatched by other competing golf club producing enterprises.

Obtaining a fitted set of clubs would certainly enhance my chance to reach my goal.

Current Handicap - 13, as tracked by Swing by Swing golf app

2017 Goals - improve my handicap to a 10 or lower, making score in low 80s a regular occurrence, with ability to break 80

(1) Stop throwing away strokes with poor pitching and chipping through proper technique, creativity, and focus

(2) Take advantage of my power to better position myself to approach the green

(3) Tighten up wedge distance control from 130 yards to give myself a better chance at achieving birdie/par

(4) Find a putter that I like and can roll with confidence

Why Callaway+Me - I was fit for my clubs a long time ago, when I was playing golf more regularly. My game has changed, to the point where distance gaps are growing between clubs. I would like to have a set of clubs that are not only fit to my swing and skill level, but are also properly gapped and selected to make sure every shot, at every distance, can be executed with confidence. A full bag fitting, under the watchful eye of the pros at Callaway, will ensure that there are no gaps, no weaknesses, no limitations to achieveing my goals, except those imposed upon myself.

Golf shots are skills that require coordination, practice, creativity, and confidence (among many other traits that it takes to execute with repeat-ability). I understand that many of these traits are on me...and the right tools from a leader in golf will help me gain/improve my skill set.

Thanks for your consideration!

  • Current USGA handicap: 3.8
  • State the goals for your golf game in 2017: Consistency. Too many off days and I can see big variations is score from one day to the next or, even if I'm playing well, the big miss tends to come out at the wrong time.
  • State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I'm actually in the market for new irons (if we're being honest, aren't most of us GolfWRX members always in the market?) and I haven't played Callaway in a few years although I've had several Callaway drivers. The Apex Pro is very intriguing and I still wish that I had grabbed a set of X Protos when I had the opportunity. This is a great opportunity to get back into the Callaway world.

  1. Currently N/A but I usually shoot in the low 80s. I've had it into the mid-70s on a pretty consistent basis before, but in the low 80s right now.
  2. I'd like to hit the range at least twice per week. I think my game is honestly already in a position to be shooting low-mid 70s, I just need to find the time during the work week to focus on me a little bit.
  3. I'm currently not gaming any Callaway clubs, but it is the only brand I would use to play all 14 clubs. Top notch from top to bottom.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf

Current USGA handicap: 5

Goals: to better my wedge game from 120 and closer due to that being my downfall. I am very confident in hitting greens but I haven't found a way to get the ball closer with good chances at birdies. Also learning to work the ball left to right.

Reason: Before this year I had never really tried callaway irons, but over the summer I had enough of my S55 and traded them in at golfsmith for a set of XHot Pro irons. I'm playing my best golf with these irons and have the wedges and driver on my wish list. I've never been fitted at all. I just learn to use what's in my hand. I would love to attend for the sheer fact it would be amazing to see how being properly fitted could and would change your game. I would love to come home with stories and a new game that my playing partners would realize they are missing out by not being properly fitted.

Goals: single digit handicap with greater consistency. Lower average score.

Why fit: I have never been fit for a club and just self test. I feel one of the issues preventing me from obtaining my goals is improper equipment and would love to compare new technologies that are suited to me and my game.

State the goals for your golf game in 2017: To definitely bring my cap down and consistently score at least 3 shots less every round.

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: I love everything about the game of golf. I've been fit for select clubs in my bag before, but never an entire set fitting. I want to meet the great team at Callaway and possibly the Zoo Crew. I just want to enjoy the game of golf for a very long time, and with Callaway's help, I believe I would be able to see my strengths and weaknesses and definitely prolong my golf game.

USGA handicap: 9

Goals: shoot even par and lower my handicap under 5. To do this, I will need to improve my driving accuracy as I take too many penalty strokes off the tee or have less than clear shots to the green.

Why fit: I have never undergone a true club fitting other than hitting a driver on a launch monitor on a busy demo day. My clubs are currently pretty outdated (all except my wedges and putters are more than 7 years old) and have been acquired piecemeal over time and I'm not sure that they're the best setup for my game. I've been wanting to undergo a complete fitting as I have been looking to find an opportunity to hit off grass and with a launch monitor for the fitting. I love the idea of doing the complete fitting all at once to get my appropriate gapping between clubs and have a set that I can have confidence in. I believe that a fitting like this would teach me a lot about my game and really help me take the next step forward. Thank you for the opportunity!

USGA handicap-5.5

Goals: Lower handicap into the 3's. To achieve my goal, I will have to improve in a few areas.

1- I need to have a better and more consistent weight shift through impact.

2- I tend to be right hand dominate with a right hand swing. This takes me over the plane on the down swing at times.

3- Sharpen pitching and chipping game.

4 -Hit the ball higher with my long irons.

Why I'd like to be fit at Callaway?

I feel my clubs do not fit me perfectly. I was fit for a set of Apex irons a couple of years ago. i like them but I think fine tuning the 4-6 irons for a bit more height would really help my game. Also, I put a 60 degree wedge into my bag again this year. I think it has cost me as much as it has helped me around the greens. I keep wondering if I chose the right bounce and grind? Lastly, I put a 3 hybrid in the bag a couple of years ago. It created some gapping question with my 5 wood.

Overall, I'd love to see the improvement I could make be properly fit for a complete set at the world's best clubfitting facility! Maybe a "scratch" handicap wouldn't be so far away!!!

I don't have an official USGA handicap. I'm incredibly inconsistent. Average score would be about an 80 but occasionally I will play a solid round and dip into mid to high 70's but then can really blow up at times and get into the high 80's. I'm just not real steady anymore. It funny how my low rounds come early in the golf season for me and gradually get worse as the season moves on. I'd say its in my head.

My goals for 2017 are to get my consistency back. i have a real desire to get back to playing some individual golf tournaments around my state. I played junior college golf and really miss playing in competitions, but my game feels a lot like Roy McAvoy's performance on the driving range at the US Open. Scary at times. Ugh. Need to get back to my college playing days in regards to consistency before I play in some serious golf tournaments. It was a long time ago but I feel I can get there with some help. That is what is great about golf.

Attending something like this would be a dream come true. It would be amazing to get some legit feedback on what I should be playing for equipment. In college they called me "Head Case" because I was always switching equipment. I would come to practice, it seemed like, everyday with something new in my bag. Now that i'm a little bit older and wiser I realize I really need to get fit and that will get me on the right track to getting my consistency back. My issue is I don't trust any of the fitters near me. Had a bad experience a long time ago and come to find out they were not the most competent fitter I could have went with. That would certainly not be a concern with Callaway. What an opportunity this would be!

Thanks you Golfwrx and Callaway. What an opportunity

Goals: Improve iron accuracy, eliminate one side of the course, have more fun.

Why I'd like to be fit at Callaway?

With Callaway being at the forefront of golf club innovation I can only guess how in depth and concise a fitting would be. Besides being fit for a great set of club, just the experience of visiting the facility in Cally and better understand what goes into the process from manufacture to assemble to fitting to on course performance would be a dream come true.

Hcp 6.7

Goals: shoot par for the first time in my life and get my game to the point where I can participate and enjoy playing in the fantastic amateur golf opportunities we have here in south Florida. After having a few kids the last couple of years my ability to practice was nil, my game slipped. I've recently turned the corner a bit and am back shooting rounds in the 70s and feel the breakthrough coming with a bit more work, and the right equipment ;)

Why: I have only experienced a driver fitting session earlier this year and it was incredible, it also left me with an $1100 driver so I've been reluctant to go do a full bag session as I'd like to send my kids to college one day! That is also the only club I never think of swapping out of my bag as I know it's been properly fit to me. The Apex irons sit in the top 3 wrenches I've played in my life and I'd love the opportunity to be fit for the new versions of those, tip to tail as well as having a wedge session, which would be a massive deviation from going to the rack and grabbing a 50,56,60 and walking off once a year. Lastly, I've heard so many things about the advantages of putter fitting over the years and recently that's been the club in my bag that's lowered some scores, I'm eager to see if there are more strokes to get out of that thing!

If you're gonna do something tonight that you'll regret in the morning, sleep late

Golf goal is to get back into my normal form. The last few years have been rough personally and professionally so golf took a back seat. I'm determined that 2017 is my year to get it all back!

As far as the why.... I'm sure my game/swing has changed a bit over the last couple years while I handled other things. The opportunity to get fit by some of the best in the business would give me the peace of mind that my equipment is optimized for ME. Then all I have to do is focus on getting better.

Current USGA handicap - unofficially 9

State the goals for your golf game in 2017 - 2017 will be the first time I've stated goals for myself and my game in a while...

1) improve my physical strength, conditioning and flexibility to support consistency

2) dedicate more time to practicing/playing golf without negatively impacting family time

3) top of the bag - find a combination of long clubs that consistently puts me in a good position to score well off the tee

4) irons - find the mix of looks, feel and performance that leads to confident approach shots and better birdie opportunities

5) wedges - complete a proper wedge fitting to optimize loft gaps to support precision on more shots from inside 100 yards

6) putter - put the right style putter in my hands that matches my stroke for consistently smooth rolls on my intended target line

7) ball - commit to a ball that performs best for my personal launch characteristics, feel preference and style of play on all shots

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf - spending time at the top golf manufacturer's headquarters being involved in the r&d process is enough for me, but getting the full tour fitting treatment would be an incredible experience that I'd be grateful to be a part of and would enjoy sharing with the rest of the WRX community.

Current Handicap is 7.

The goal for my game in 2017 is to get back down to a three or better. Having proper, expert fit equipment eliminates one thought during practice and play. Precision with scoring irons and 100 yards in has to improve. One of my biggest areas will be out of the tee. I feel decent with my current driver but being able to trust it after being fit would be wonderful.

I would be honored and amazed to attend this event. The fittings would be amazing but to be able to test prototypes and to do the r&d events would be amazing. This would be a dream come true.
