Wouldn't dream of selling mine for that, but that's not the question.

 

I call TEE Driver, I think they are under-rated, 3 wood and 5 wood or hybrid. The made-for shafts are good enough for a 10, and they can be had for cheap. Maybe $200-250, if you are impatient.

 

Since the putter is covered.. I hope it's a good putter that fits me though. Since it spends 30+ shots a round, heavy on the +...

 

 

Irons would really be the tough part.

 

If it was me,, I'd try and find a super clean set of Mizzy's that fit your eye and game, and see what you had left for wedges.

 

I know that doesn't outline models of clubs, or individual costs at all. But, I think $750 for a really decent used setup is completely reasonable.

Adams XTD forged, can be had for less than $300 usually.

A 10 would be in great shape with a lot of combos above, and many of those would yield no decrease in performance from new for a 10..

 

However to suggest a 10 handicap wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a random thrift shop $20 set, is probably insulting to many guys around that handicap.
