Played the atmos tour spec blue again today and it was all over the place - specifically into the wind. The feel is incredible, i just cant get the spin down without having to go crazy low loft in the head

Onto the black?

Not sure if you guys can answer this but I have the Speeder TS 8.2 in my EPIC 3 wood.

Need a similar shaft in my driver but lighter weight. The Speeder TS is a bit boardy but love the tight dispersion on them. I'd prefer tight dispersion over feel since its brings more consistency.

Do you guys know if the black or blue is most similar to the Speeder TS 6.2 or 8.2X?

Got it.

Where do you rank the blue compared to the Speeder TS .2 X flex?

I am worried the black, I won't be able to get enough launch in the driver.

Mind you, not a 3 wood...but my 6.2 TS and 6 Black are very very close in launch.

Interesting.

So I guess the black is the way to go if I like the Speeder TS 6.2x. I am just afraid about launch and spending $300 on a shaft, I better be right!!!

In your opinion do you think the Atmos Blue 6X is more like the Speeder 6.2X (non tour spec).

I had the 7.2 TS in my driver before and launch/spin wise compared to the blue 7X that I have in there are both very very similar to one another. I tipped both shafts 1" and the feel of the blue is superior and I like the flight better. I would say a hair higher, but I have never experienced any ballooning with my drives.

I wish you were closer Gio, I'd let you try my 6X Black man. I'm really interested in the comparison between the Black and Blue.

For those of you asking how it compares to Speeder XYZ, I wish I could comment on how they compare but this is the first Fujikura shaft I have ever played so I'll leave those kinds of comparisons to those who have prior experience.

I would highly recommend the ATMOS tour spec black 7s or 7x. What's amazing about the shaft is the combination of feel and feedback. You're right about the Speeder TS that while it gave tight dispersions the boardy feel to it was a turn off. I owned a TS 7.2x, EVO 6x, Fuji pro 7x and it was a love or hate relationship with all those shafts. The only shaft that comes close to the ATMOS black is the Speeder VC #.2 line which I owned in 6.2x. I loved that shaft and the ATMOS black has brought that loving feeling back!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but how do these compare to the Speeder Evolution 3?

I haven't hit a Evo III, but I do have a 757 Evo I. My Evo I launches lower than my 6 Black.

I think the Evo II was the lowest launching and the III was the highest. So I would guess the Evo III would be close.

Thanks for the info! This helps a lot.

Went back to my Hzrdus Yellow for today's round just to have some more comparison notes. Yellow goes higher with more spin. My drives were definitely shorter than I have been experiencing. The biggest difference was the dispersion. I didn't feel like I put bad swings on a few and they were offline and kept going offline. The Atmos just keeps the ball in play better and add to that the fact it kicks like a mule. Better dispersion and distance. Its back in the club head now and not going anywhere.

I got another round in with the ATMOS Tour Spec Blue 8X in my M1 430 head today and that thing just keeps performing. I only missed 2 fairways, and both of those misses only leaked into the 2nd cut. The wind was gusting today, and my playing partner was hitting very high drives that were getting caught up in the wind and knocked down. The low-mid trajectory (and straight to slight draw shape) that I was getting with the Blue was perfect and I only felt like the wind was a problem on one hole (elevated/unprotected tee box with long down hill tee shot). I was still seeing great distance today, and the feel of the shaft is still very nice. It was a slow day on the course, and we kept getting backed up on the tee box with other groups. The couple behind us caught us a couple of times and the husband complimented my previous drives both times. This thing is performing great for me.

I played today with the 6x Black and I only hit 4 of 14 fairways but my misses were in play the entire day. That's something that hasn't happened with the HZRDUS Black in awhile if at all. The only two balls I lost all day werr on the first hole with my 5w approach shot on a par 5 and a 58° wedge shot on the 18th which was nerves, lol. I really feel like the Black would perform 100x better if I had a normal to mid-high spin head. I'd REALLY like to test a Blue 6x in my M1 head as I really think the higher spin shaft with a low spin head and a TP5x ball would be a bomber. I'm gonna pump my M1 head up to a 10.5 or 11.25 loft and see what that does for my carry.

I had a better round with the ATMOS Tour Spec Blue 7x yesterday -- mostly b/c there was little to no wind. The feel is fantastic -- and I love the kick. only issue I had was losing it high right when it spun up. best drive of the day was on a 373y par 4; I was left with a 59y approach.

while playing the TP5X -- it did get the spin down a little bit - but not enough to keep it from going awry now and then. at least 2 of my misses were borderline unplayable and not anywhere near the fairway - fairway bunkers or worse.

I think we're all on board here with the ATMOS definitely being a pretty good shaft. I'm surprised to see some say it really whips through impact and others say it's stout. I'm definitely in the stout camp. It also spins way less than I expected.

I wish I could get my hands on a black -- you guys are all loving yours. did you tip yours at all? or did you have to add swingweight to the driver by cutting yours down?

Finally got my black 6x on the course for 36 holes Saturday. Perfect low/mid flight and you could tell it was low spin. I had no issues keeping up with my buddy who is usually 10-20 yards longer than me. One thing I noticed is that my poor swings stayed in play. Shots that I thought I lost right ended up in the fairway. One dreaded double cross was only in the left rough.

I didn't keep track of distances or fairways since it was 40 degrees and I was just thinking about playing for the first time in over 2 months, but I had an excellent day off the tee. I know a lot of balls went over 280 and a couple went over 300. Pretty good for the freezing temps for me.

The feel of the shaft is difficult to describe IMO. My blue 8x is tipped 1", so I would say stout is a good description, but I can still feel it load and it is not boardy. I wouldn't call it whippy either. It is firm - but not to the point that you lose feeling of where the clubhead is.

From what I have seen, if you decide to tip it 1", prepare to play a stout yet feedback driven shaft. If you don't tip it, it'll be a more feedback driven whip.

I didn't tip mine and don't plan on tipping my fairway woods either. I'm not sure if it's going to work out but here's to hoping!

it varies week to week honestly, but if I were to choose one color, I'd say blue is most popular in 3 woods, but not by a landslide or anything. We also see lots of blue in Drivers, some good results this past weekend with guys using in the driver.
