Well, i just demoed the G400 (std and LST) and while i think it is a beautiful club, the trackman data (with the same exact shaft) didn't show any appreciable difference to warrant a purchase. My G driver was just as good in terms of ball speeds etc.. Sad to report that I'm going to pass on upgrading at this stage. Hope I didn't burst too many bubbles...ymmv.

Hey my man!!! Hope all is well. New driver sound is much improved. A bit more thwacky and solid feeling than the G. It is really nice. Tempted to buy one on setup and feel/sound alone.

It looks like the Tour shaft might have changed. If you look at this screenshot, it's the Tour 173-65/Tour 173-75. Upcharge looks to be $35 per FairwayGolfUSA.

Has anyone seen any Ping spec sheets stating the X-Torsion was the Copper model specifically? I've only seen X-Torsion on the catalog and now Fairwaygolfusa.

Thanks. Admittedly, I was looking at LST version. My son plays a standard G30 and may benefit from the LST. I hope the fitting carys will have LH options.

That's kind of what I've been saying. The fact there is no high swingspeed option suggests (to me) that it isn't the tour quality variant. But, I don't have a full price list either. Just the insert they sent out. Sometimes PING has more options listed in their full price list than what they show in other marketing literature. Case in point, the Modus 105 iron shaft that's a no cost upgrade on all of their current irons. Almost everything they publish shows only S and X flexes, but their full options price list has always shown the R flex as well. Maybe we will see an X flex copper there.

After seeing the videos on GG's webpage, I am certainly interested in just about every new offering. I have been toying with the idea of going to a GI club as I do not play as much as I would like to anymore. The G400 irons did not look too offensive to me in terms of the top line. I will have to see them in person to finally decide. I have this mental block about playing anything with a very thick top line, when I first started playing golf in my formative years almost everything was a blade and a you all know how small the woods were.

Same boat as you. I'm thinking about making the game a little less demanding and going G400 driver fairway and hybrid/crossover. I can lie to myself about the amount of time I will have to practice in the future but off im being honest I do not see it increasing much
