Yesterday I was shoveling snow from our timely April snow storm (10" for all of you Arizona/Florida types), and while carrying the snow shovel back from the neighbor's house I had it casually balanced in my hand... only for my brain to say, "Hmmm, this snow shovel is perfectly face balanced, no toe hang at all."  Which reminded me of this thread 😂

(1) If there was a metric reflecting dollars spent on gear to actual rounds played and you wonder whether you’d be top 10 in the country, and still have no regrets.

 

(2) In the rare case you actually do play a round, it’s just as satisfying to hear the large crack upon firing a missile into a tree with an experimental club that has no useful purpose on the course, as it would be to achieve something higher than bogey on a hole.

I was watching a tv show where a golf driver was the murder weapon and covered in blood and I was trying to figure out what shaft it was.

A G400 9° head was posted overnight in the BST.  I just spent 20 minutes in my head building a set around that head, down to the grips and all, without even inquiring if it sold yet.  Oh, and I also have about 4 different things currently in transit.

Got fitted for the new Rogue ST Max driver.  It is so good... (Did not miss a fairway yesterday with that thing in my hand.)

 

So...

 

Got on Callaway.com and ordered a Rogue ST Max 3 wood to replace my 10 year old RBZ 3 wood.  Guessed on the shaft based on my driver shaft and won.  Never hit one.  Never even looked at them in the shops.  Got it within a week.  It is so good...

 

So...

 

I just got on Callaway.com and ordered a Rogue St Max Heavenwood to replace my 10 year old RBZ 3 hybrid...

Gets bored around the holidays and orders new irons. Gets depressed when it snows into March so sells them to buy the newly released irons. Sells irons in “Like new” condition even though they’ve never hit anything but carpet.

My "ah-hah" moment was at my grandfather's funeral, he also was an avid golfer and so there were a lot of golf things at the funeral. The program had a generic marketing picture of a golf ball on it, a Titleist. I was perturbed because I knew he was a Callaway guy.

Haha!  I have both the Stealth 3HL and Rogue ST LS 3HL and I’d carry both at the same time.

When I improve my own prototypes.

 

Prototype 1: Insert Project X LS 7.0 2 iron shaft into Callaway hybrid adapter with shim.  Then, bust off the adapter’s adjuster rings so that it will actually fit and screw into a modern Callaway driver.

 

Prototype 2: Realize that the older hybrid adapter on discontinued Callaway hybrids looks the same as the current driver adapter, ordering one to verify it fits despite larger diameter (it does).  Install a Modus 120TX in adapter and I now have a stiffer tip driver with more adjustability lol

As it's Easter, the Masters is in the books, you know you are a WRXer because you feel like a 10 year old waiting for Santa...IT'S OPENING DAY and we made it through another winter !! Now to find that driver that will go 2 yards further. the putter that will hole putts automatically and the rusty wedge that costs 30 bucks more because it's rusty ! I have 16 dozen pellets waiting and this will be the YEAR !!

1 utility iron

1 set of irons (Miura nonetheless)
