PXG - not bloody likely! So many reasons and not all of them about the $$

Nike - yuck!

Ping - likely not (other than putters)

Almost anything else is game.

As such, bag is currently TM irons, Cobra woods, Callaway wedges and Odssey putter.

CALLAWAY - can't hit them.

There are so many PXG haters, lol.

My general preferences:

woods and irons = TaylorMade / Titleist

wedges = Cleveland

putter = anything that will work!

Cobra LTDx LS (10.5°)

Titleist TS2 (15°)

TaylorMade r9 (19°)

Cleveland 588 MB (4-PW)

Titleist Vokey SM8 (52° & 58°)

Odyssey Black #2m CS

1. Titleist - becuz of golfers/followers/worshipers who will play nothing other than Titleist, even though its crap anymore. They only wear Footjoy shoes and gloves, shirt and Titleist hats or visors. 99% of players playing a Pro V, should be playing a Pink Volvik ball.

2. TaylorMade - their followers are worse than Titleist followers, for the same reasons, only worse.

I've played something from almost every major manufacturer.

Titleist: Vokey wedges on many occasions. MB irons (90s). TMB driving iron.

Callaway: Odyssey putters.

PING: Putter, G30 hybrids, briefly.

TM: M2, SLDR, Aeroburner Minidriver, RBZ 3/5 wood. RSi 2 irons, briefly.

Mizuno: MP-59 irons, JPX 850 hybrids and fairways, T7 wedges, briefly.

Cleveland/Srixon: z565 irons, RTX 2.0 wedges. U65 driving iron, briefly.

Wilson: PMP wedges, briefly.

Cobra: S3 Pro combo irons, for seven years (wonderful irons). King LTD driver (still longest driver I've hit with Matrix Black Tie, but not as consistent as I wanted).

Adams: Tight Lies 2 fairway. Dhy, always and forever.

Tour Edge: fairways, briefly (so long, but tough for me to control trajectory).

I have never played a Nike or PXG club, and don't expect to. I'll never use a Scotty, because I love my PING and Odyssey and Bettinari putters.

Would be very interested regarding shafts and balls. I'm an NS loyalist in irons and a Mztrix proponent in woods (although I have no Matrix in the bag this moment). Big fan of Volvik, Callaway, and TM balls. Pro V1(x)s have never been my best performing ball.

TM 2016 M2, Graphite Design Tour AD DI

Callaway Rogue 3w, 15º, Fujikura Motore Speeder

Yonex EZone XPG 3h, 18.25º, Fujikura Motore Speeder

Srixon U65 4di, 23º, Aerotech Steelfibre i95

Mizuno MP-59, 5i-PW, Nippon NS PRO 950GH WF

Cleveland RTX Zipcore, 50º,54º,58º, Nippon NS PRO 950GH WF

Ping B60 Scottsdale TR, Nippon NS PRO Putter

Volvik S4

I'm fascinated by all the "I hate this brand and won't play it because of the other people who play it" posts in this thread. Thanks for the chuckles.

Getting a chuckle is the main reason I read the responses. I imagine many of us have issues but some of the reasons cited here are worthy of a "sitting on the couch" session with a psychiatrist.

Crappy fans can make you hate a sports team, a famous golfer or...even a golf club manufacturer. Just the way it is.

I've run into so many Titleist tour bag hackers, only the Pro V1 is a decent ball, "every other club brand sucks" guys in my years playing that I refuse to rock any of their gear for fear of being mistaken for one of the puds I've met.

You should be playing with a Flying Lady! and on Tuesday's with the rest of the Nancy's.

PXG - for every reason you could think of.

Callaway - in recent years they've had more drivers than TM; don't like their irons either.

Corbra - don't want clubs named after a snake.

Ping - they just don't have the quality they once had - I do think the G400 LST is a good driver.

Nike - yes they're gone, but when they were in business I would never have bought any of their stuff.

Driver:  TM iQ10 10.5*

3 Wood: TM Stealth2 16.5*;  7 Wood: TM Stealth2 21*

Irons:  Srixon ZX5 4 - P

SW:  Titleist SM9 F 50* and S 56*

Putter:  TM Spider TourZ

I never say never on any brand but I’ve had some quality control issues with Callaway that make me reluctant to buy more of their products. That said you can have my odyssey putter when you pry it from my cold dead hand.

I never thought I’d play Callaway (after the original B.B.) but I fell in love with their players irons and MD forged wedges. Now they own my whole bag. That’s partly thanks to the tremendous CS.

I’d never consider Wilson and that was galvanized with the joke that was the Triton.

When I first heard of PXG I was kind of intrigued. Since then the only folks I’ve met playing them are fat duffers with more dollars than sense. I think divorce attorneys throw in a free set to their ‘best’ clients. I can’t say I’d never play them, but they’d have to feel pretty damn special to justify the hype.
