That driver head is so hot it probably oozes molten hot melt from that port when you stripe one.

A birdie told me that TS stands for TOP SPIN. I guess the Titleist executives had enough with the complaints and reviews stating the older models created too much back spin. They’ve now reversed the tables and have created the industries first ever top spin driver. Litterally, this head (and marketing campaign) is hitting the ground running!!

All kidding aside, I look forward to the release and eventual demo on my end.

The paint around the outside portion that would normally wrap around to the crown looks matte. Anyone have any insight on that?

Looks promising. Flashier than typical Titleist drivers...probably on purpose to try to increase shelf appeal and sales. Wonder what the performance characteristics differences are between the two models.

A Titleist spin joke. Never heard that before. Yawn

Just like the Cally and Taylormade release cycle jokes. Is there anything left of that dead horse?

Actually it stands for 'Tour Sauce'. The minute you put this driver into play, your belt turns white and you start walking down the course like a pimp.

Thanks for posting. Looks to me the TS2 will probably be the more forgiving model as it has a single weight at the back. The TS3 will probably be the players deeper faced model that allows you alter flight bias and spin via the weight tube. As we all know the tube will be slightly different than the 917 version, so we will have now choice but to pay big $$$ so we can tinker.

So is the TS2 going to be a low spin option?

I would bet on the TS3 being the lower spin model of the two. And by lower spin probably about 200 RPM's less.

Agreed.

I wonder how they are going to explain absence of Active Recoil Channel? Makes me think they changed something regarding face composition, forged face and/or use of SP700 Cup Face used in C16 driver.

They need to go back to the 910 head and tweak from there. The last few itierations have been bad IMO

I should add I haven’t seen low spin numbers with any recent Titleist Head and I carry mostly all Titleist in my bag except driver fairway wood and driving iron.

Is 1,800 RPM's low enough for you?

I’ve never seen those type of spin numbers with a Titleist head. Was this with the new head? If so I’m excited to try it!!

Interesting link. I didn't know Trackman posted numbers like that. The numbers for a several of the guys are a bit surprising. Rham and Schauffele and JT all under 2K driver spin and Rham at 1650???

Now you have :derisive: I got anywhere from 2,000-2,300 RPM's from every head I have owned in the last couple of years. (917 D3, 2016 M1, 2016 M2, Epic SZ, 2017 M1).

It also states that JT tips his driver 1.5" which will obviously help knock some spin off the ball. My theory with why TaylorMade tips all of their driver shafts an inch from the factory is so people fall in love with the low spin they see on the launch monitors.
