Oh goody, slow wins.

Wow. Pernilla showed herself to be just as mentally tough as Inbee, and just about as great a putter. She certainly dropped the putts when she had to. That Inbee didn't make her birdie on the last hole is a bit of a surprise, but she said the morning slowness of the greens got to her. What an incredible tournament. Great golf, all around.

Holy cow, did anybody catch Terry Gannon on the hot mic,"This leap is so stupid, so manufactured." "I know, but she worked so hard for it." - Judy Rankin

Wow, didn't hear that. That could a job costing comment.

Clear as day. Judy basically agreed that said they earn it. He doubled down again and said it was stupid.

She had nothing to lose. I thought she would fold her tent yesterday and she showed everyone something. One of those things she never showed before was that mental toughness. Well earned and well done. Now, I'll need to see replays online. :(

There is a first time for all winners and I am still hoping this is Pernilla's time. As for the slow play... she was certainly being more cautious and deliberating more on her shots Sunday but that's understandable and deserving of some forgiveness as she's never been in this situation before and I am sure she didn't want to look back and have to say to herself ..."if I'd only taken more time on that one shot on hole number X, I could have won this thing." (ala I.K. Kim putt right?)

Bah. That's part of the game. I'm sure every player wishes they had more time to hit every shot. Well, everyone except Charley perhaps. The final group finished at least one hole out of position, and should have been on the clock.

Honestly, if it was up to me I'd ditch the whole "on the clock" thing. A player should be timed on every shot, not just when they've fallen out of position.

It's about experience and understanding how to handle these situations... it only comes from having been there. Frankly I am bit surprised in any lack of understanding for someone in her shoes.

As I recall though, they were put on the clock on the 17th hole and finished the 18th on the clock.

The thing I do wish they would get rid of is the caddie line up stuff... I don't know why they don't just make it against the rules already for pete's sake.

Best thing about Pernilla's win is seeing Azahara Munoz congratulate Pernilla on the win.

I'd also like a HUG from Aza at 9am to start my day too. :taunt:

I wondered who that was. That's cool.

In their rookie year of 2010....Pernilla and Aza used to often share hotel rooms as travel buddies.

Seems like Aza's is BFF with Sarah Jane Smith nowadays too.

To be fair, they were warned. So it must not have risen to that level yet. Everyone knows they'll slap a penalty on them in a second.

I find myself not disagreeing with him... it is stupid and is it going to take someone slipping and getting hurt before they just stop doing it?

It could, sad comment of the times when you can lose your job for saying what we are all thinking lol

True, and his was his honest opinion. Which he should be able to share. Remeber the uproar about Kelly Tighlman’s (sorry, not sure on the spelling) comment. Hers was supposed to funny and got her in trouble.
