Rickie Fowler - WITB 2019

That’s a new Cameron isn’t it ? His normal one has Cameron in the cavity and a flange line. Then he used one with titleist in the cavity and a flangeline for a while at the open last year. Said more loft I think. This one is a sight dot and Rickie in the cavity. Still looks like one of the older tiger Newport 2 heads though. Wasn’t there some rediculous number of backups they made tiger to try and still preferred that 1 every time ?

It is, Rickie called me over on the 1st tee and said, new putter and you're going to want to shoot it. Sight dot switch from line.

Synergy Black in the 3 and 5 woods! Those things must go a mile with very little spin. Rickie knows!

The proto version?

Also, can a 1/2-3/4" extension be added to th butt and not affect the performance?

I have that plays 44.25 in a ping and want to put it in a new Titleist or TM.

Yes, Synergy Black was only a proto. They used it to develop technology for the new Aldila ATX Graphene series. It was never released retail. And yes anything 1 inch or less on the extension won't have any adverse effects on performance.

He obviously has Cobra clubs, but isn't it weird that it doesn't say Cobra on his bag or headcovers? Is that deal running out?

Hey Greg, I totally understand you can't take questions from all the members here and go around asking the players, but if you ever have the opportunity and can remember it, I've always been curious of what his putters weigh, if they are the same as Tiger's or not. But either way, thanks for the pictures!

Was thinking the same myself, looks like the start of a long goodbye. From a TV coverage point of view Cobra are now almost invisible with regards to Rickie.

He prob needs to switch to a less polarizing brand anyways. Bring on a team with one other guy, that's winning like Bryson is, is not a good look.

It's a puma bag tho, and a carry one. Wouldn't read too much into it, marketing tactic probably. Nice carry bag

I guess we will find out later today but it would be interesting to see if he actually has the stand bag out with him today or bag to the staff bag. He has toyed around with stand bags previously but it just looks unusually seeing an established pro walking around with a caddie and a stand bag.

Fowler has used stand bags in competition previously. Personally I'd like to see more of it. They are practical in good weather scenarios like they should expect this week. Don't need to carry as much clothing in the bag.

He just signed an extension in 2018 I believe. If I had to guess he's probably more valuable selling clothes than clubs, so cobra/puma is putting the puma logo on him.

A bit surprised that he didn't have the dot painted orange. Pretty smart of him to call you over for pics and it also says a lot about the pros knowledge of you and how you can help with brand awareness!

There have been a couple times in the past that a pop up t storm comes and the caddy didnt have the rain gear or umbrella.

I bet every caddy on tour in this event has full rain gear in that back all the time

Judging by the photos from Wednedsay morning, Rickie wasn't taking the chance and just going for the full on waterproof gear look straight away!
