Definitely hard to watch. Mentally checked out after the shank. At least he’s stayed on the course. Other top level players have walked off the course in same or less severe situations.

Clearly more mental work to do than I saw originally. But has nothing to do with mechanics . This is all between the ears.

Don’t disagree. But it’s not as much of a checkout as a walk off in my opinion. It is what it is. Loads of times we see rock bottom in things before we figure it out. Not much lower to go than today as far as finishing a round out.

I agree with this...he has lost it mentally. Right from the get go today his self-talk and verbal expressions reveal it all. These demons are the hardest to overcome.

It's almost like you could say his mental game is in the toilet.

Oh wait...

This is the toilet. You were premature until today. Lol

Yup hes been a pro the whole backside after the quad though. made back to back 10 footers for pars.Im sure he feels embarrassed but hes not the only one struggling today. these conditions can expose you quick. Look at Justin thomas right now.has lost 8 shots to the field playing ping pong on the greens. He'll get over this

Not always. I dont think this will linger for him.Hes seeing his buddy implode as well. Its not easy out there.Tiger put up a 40 to end things.easy to make big #s today. No excuses for him, he checked out for a while then grinded it out. Commendable

Right now, it seems like he is not managing the course well. Too many big mistakes the last two weeks.

Definitely better than throwing your 3-iron into the lake or walking off because your tooth hurt.

But let's be clear, people only care about sportsmanship/manners so much. The winners are adored and excuses are made (Brady has run off the field numerous times after losing, Tiger not always the nicest person in the past, Michael Jordan punched his teammate in the face).

If Rory and Spieth weren't the accomplished golfers that they are, many things they do would get absolute lit up.

I always have some $$$ on him at Augusta. Unfortunately the local Aussie bet market still has him at equal fave with Rory - WTF???

Makes sense. They can both equally stink these days. Not much difference. Both in their heads.

It’s amazing the level of hate some have. I’m hard on Rory but can’t say I ever got to the place of posting pics of his fails and then gloating when something unspeakable happens to his game. Can’t say I’m shocked you came back to say it. I’ll be sure and find you when the shoes on the other foot.

Yea. I’m not even sure how that works. So cannot say. But as for who plays best at Augusta. Today you could flip a coin and be accurate most likely. Work to be done by both.

I’m sure Tiger is a favorite too isn’t he. Getting a lot of heart betting instead of brain betting.

Nope, only Rory and Jordan @ $11. Tiger and Rosie @ $12. DJ and JT @ $13.

I hope they juicy up Jordan's odds soon.

At this point, it's kind of sad for Spieth / feel bad for him (how does he shoot bogey free on Thurs (got some help in a few places) to 81 today?). Yes, as a public figure / well paid athlete he is subject to being under the microscope / criticism coming his way. But I don't think people would usually wish any (normal) person ill-will / hope to see them struggle at their job.

Hope he gets it turned around. When he does the love will be back (just like Tiger).

He needs to make real changes here, not sorta kinda changes but in my golfing and caddying experience I think that while the duo has gotten things done he needs to move on and find someone else to work with. I just see these blow up holes and strange club choices and this incessant talking and gesturing as something his current caddie is an integral part of. He needs a fresh person on the bag.

Again the comments asking for Michael Greller head. Am I watching the same golf some of you are watching? Spieth does not need a new caddie, he does not need a new swing coach, Spieth is going through a process of free falling but he will wake up. His caddie did not make him shoot 81 today. What I saw today was a golfer who is lost and cannot put two competitive rounds together.

If his people is reading these posts, tell Spieth to take those Ap2 718 irons out of his bag and that TS driver. Spieth is emotionally disconnected from the equipment, he is not wired sounds crazy but it is what it is. Ap2 714 irons and the 915 driver is salvation and his road to redemption. Forget about the new equipment it is not working for you.

Spieth game was in ICU now it seems to be heading to hospice. The vultures are eating him alive, he has become a subject of mockery.

I fully support Greller on the bag and his swing coach. To heck with promoting the new equipment, it psychologically is ruining this guy

Damn you choo ( said jovial and lovingly ) !

Now you make me go and agree with you.

He has to find the reset place. Like resetting the date and time on your old laptop. Roll back to something he trusts. Something where the blame can only be placed on oneself. I understand that measure of crazy. Dang it. Lol.
