safe to say mp18 line looks better than it performed? I see tons of returns in my local shop. I also didn't feel it was any special.

That's interesting. I love the 69's and made the transition to MP18 mb/sc combo set and couldn't be happier with them.

Looks like the "Hokkaido" Grind. If the new irons come with this grind than these are an auto-cop.

Weird that Mizuno are saying the new irons will be different than expected, from what I remember with the JPX they specifically said they wanted to bring it back to what people expected out of Mizuno

I'm hoping for something good. My MP69s are tough to beat. Smooth and the head sizes all look the same.

Missy's grain flow forging or Titleist's new hotter faced metals....Rumor has it, Titleist is stacking the deck with their new line to easily blend as well. We shall see! Classic matchup! Love this!

My 18's performed great when I put a good swing on 'em! As good as any other lefty offering I've tried!

The look of the MMC was actually the drawback, for me. Liked the looks of the SC much better but the numbers don't lie. Making the switch from MP 54's (which I dearly loved) and have been very happy thus far.

Mizuno probably the least returned in my parts

 

Many at my club play mp 18 blade and SC

Very much hoping for an updated MP5. Tried the mp18 (mb and SC) and went back to Mp5.

Then i tried the 919Tour and didn't get along with those either.

Always come back to the mp5. The combination of turf interaction , forgiveness and looks just can't be beat.

what store would that be?? At this point, I am not really interested in trying new shafts. I am trying to decide which shaft to get in whatever new irons I buy.

This Japanese website has pics of a proto with a TN-87 (MP-14/MP-29) type muscle design. Don't speak/read Japanese and no idea if these are one-offs or protos of the MP-20. Would love if it was the later, though doubt they would be available in LH.

Funny you guys mentioned the mp-5; they were on the mizuno japan golf online shop a couple weeks ago with the full yoro custom options, etc. Went back last night to go ahead and finalize an order for a set of them with the specs I wanted, and could not find them anywhere, they have been removed totally from mizuno japan as well, not even able to get a stock set anymore.

Just a couple quick points, this is indeed a new prototype iron that is out there and being tested. There are comments from two JGTO mizuno staff players. There is also a mention of it being on the R & A conformity list so.
