Titleist Aussie Hat

Looking for a wide brimmed hat to keep sun off, like the look of the new Aussie hats from Titleist but it is a one size fits all and I have a small head. Wondering is anyone knows how these run or how adjustable they might be to fit my pin head.

Sorry, I can't help with the Titleist hat, but I have a small head and I am a fan of the Shelta and Kuhl mesh vented hats for warm weather.

Small head here. The Imperial Old Norse in S/M works for me. I'd guess many of their other "Sun Protection" range in S/M could also work if you want a slightly different style.

Google Imperial Hat and go to their website - select shop, sun protection and you'll see multiple options. Many with S/M sizes. I have one of their Mako classic performance sun hats in blue and love it. I have a large head so I can't comment on smallest size but the selection menu says it fits from 7-7 1/8

Small head here too. Shelta hats in s/m fit me well, are comfortable & well made. Personally prefer the osprey, other styles have a little more coverage.

The new titleist Aussie hats are adjustable. I have a good size noggin (7 1/2 fitted) so didn’t need to adjust but it can be tightened with string lock.

Apex is it tight on you without adjustment, would it fit an even bigger melon

Just tried on the new Aussie hat yesterday.

 

I wear 7-5/8 big head and it was too small on me. Prob fits 7-1/4 really well. Also has an adjustable draw string to tighten. Should work for you.

Update to my original post. Bought the Aussie hat online, arrived yesterday and it is adjustable in size, so that was nice. I put it on and showed my wife. She said I was never to go out in public wearing that. I guess I just looked stupid with the huge brim hats! Also, in the pictures, it looked like the brim had some "form" to it, it doesn't, just a huge floppy brim all the way around, no real structure, which I thought it had in the pictures.

I got the Aussie hat this year.

It is a much larger brim than I thought. But mine has some form to it, and its moldable, if thats a word.

I like that it doesn't have a lot of form, as on my follow through I can feel the shaft sometimes hit the edge of the hat. On other hats that had a solid brim, it would knock the hat off. This just kind of bend a bit and doesn't move on my head. So far I really like it. I honestly feel about 10 degrees cooler wearing this hat compared to a regular ball cap. It really makes a difference when I walk and don't have shade from a cart.

 

And yes, my wife looked at me in it and just shook her head.

 

The first time I wore it on the course I felt like I was wearing a sombrero. But I have gotten used to it, and I have had more people ask me about it and where they can get one.

My father in law has one and he has a small head, he thinks that they are great. He heads over to Australia once of twice a year to see family (and golf) and he has said it has come in invaluable playing out there in the heat.

I bought the Nike wide brimmed hat this year (the one that DSG sells). I have a small head as well but was pretty impressed at how well it fit. I barely had to use the adjustable cord thing. It's also really lightweight on the head, which is nice. If I couldn't see the brim, I wouldn't even really know it was there.

 

I, too, was banned from wearing it in public outside of the golf course. I think a certain body/head type can pull off the look pretty well, but that's not me. For instance, Clay Ballard wears one in his videos and looks like a normal human being. I just look like a giant dork. Oh well.

I have two Titleist Aussies for different fashion considerations. These are last years model, so no adjustability, but the L/XL works for my big noggin. Even if I didn’t look so darn good in them, I’d still wear them for the sun protection. Enough trips to the dermatologist have convinced me that this is the wiser course.

I have both the Nicklaus and the Palmer I like em both the Nick is slightly lighter cotton vs the Palmers heavier poly blend with a nicer liner the lighter one more comfortable for me. I've gotten several compliments on it and trust me It's not me that deserves the compliment.

 

The come in sizes so small is an option.

But there are tons of great and stylish options. I get it that dunderheads are going to pooh pooh the choices but stay fashion forward my friend!

 

Personally I wouldn't go for the Titliest Aussie hat as there are so many other great options

 

You have a pic of Florida as you avatar? I entirely agree with the poster above I don't want to advertise any more than I already do for these golf companies non golf brand is preferred for myself. Mine are US Open bucket hats bad enough.

Follow up. Thanks to all. Hat fits very comfortable on my giant melon 7 5/8. Holds brim shape, thick headband that I did not sweat thru 90°. Not floppy in wind. And full 1 1/2 wider than a Tilley t3. Without looking too sombrero. I have sun cancer concerns and this helps

I bought one last weekend under the influence of alcohol - played with it on Monday and really liked the coverage it provided. It does have a larger brim than my Shelta hats and the brim does have plenty of structure. I am past worrying about how it looks and am only interested in the sun protection - I won't even ask my wife what she thinks because I know the answer :)

I tried the Nike, Callaway and titleist hats this weekend, bought the titleist, wore it today. I'm a 7 5/8. Did not require and adjustment. I did remove the wind lanyard (?).

 

Felt great, wish I had obtained one of these sooner.

On breezy days I find the floppy brims flap too much. Shelta hats firm enough not to flap. Made for surfers.

I just bought one. I normally can't wear Titleist hats because they fit so small, but this one fits fine. My wife also did not like the look. She said it made me look 10 years older but was good sun protection.

Have a Ahead Palmer Model sun hat. Fits my size ocho cranium, and doesn’t look too hideous. Most importantly, protects against sun damage. Have had a number of excisions due to sun damage, and the aesthetics are worth the protection it offers.

7 5/8 here, and the Titleist Aussie hat fits great. I also have an Imperial Old Norse (L/XL) that fits great. I had mine customized with an anchor logo (I went to USNA).
