Actually, it is the opposite. The issue is not that there are too many players at +1; the issue is that there are not enough players at +1 with holes left to play who could drop to +2.

Sensational stuff by Rory, can't say he isn't resilient but you have to question why he is in the position in the first place when he can hit some of the shots he hit today. And to think that careless putt on 16 yesterday could end up costing him.

Shades of Justin Rose from last year. Made birdie on the 18th is 2nd round to make the cut on the number, then proceeded to almost win, think he finished 2nd.

Yeah 3rd toughest hole so far in round 2, unlikely but not impossible. Left hand pin with a 7 iron.

I am not able to see the broadcast until I get home from work but looks like Rory gave the gallery something to cheer for. I think that’s great for the huge amount of kids who are out there. If your only able to go out one day and watch golf, Rory put on a show. Good job Rory. I’m sure you gave some memories that will last a lifetime. Never give up. Well done.
