Unfortunately, back issue hindering TW's advancement. Too bad & sad. His odd of making the Tour Tournament getting slimmer but hopefully he does and win like last year.

Ha! I did deadlifts yesterday, gotta be careful in my old age.

 

As far as TW, sure, he old, back fused together with a light switch plate, but if he even in a little groove, he smoke these chumps ; )

Heard something on XM92 a few weeks back. I think it was Breed going back and forth with his co-host. Spieth always had that little chicken wing follow through but when he was on his run in 2015, he wasn't trying to do too much with the ball. He was hitting it straight, he wasn't trying to shape it as much as he does now. Obviously easier said than done at this point, after a few years of being 'off' but Breed says he needs to go back to hitting it straight. But if you are lost in your swing, going 'back' to something that isn't natural anymore is a lot harder...much to your point that he has the mechanics and mental demons.

This is a bit of a myth actually. He sits at 40th in SG: Putting, yes he could improve but it's more than good enough.

For example, Koepka sits at 59th, Casey 146th and Justin Thomas is at 160th.

Wasn't looking at his footwear but he wore these in the pro-am and I think he wore the same design but in white in round 1.

eye test says something different thats why stats arent the be all end all. You wouldnt take Scott from 15 feet out over those 3 guys ever...

Thats fair, although neither Scotty or Casey would be on my list to make a putt. In this category its Scott's best showing by some distance since 2014 where he was ranked similar as he's normally ranked well into the 100s.
