Bump it! I got two of these bad boys. 9* L4V X with a graffaloy red prolaunch I set up. Fairway finder.

2nd is brand spankin new 8* L4V X head I am going to throw an accuflex VS339 in it and swing for the fences past my buddies newer tech

Love seeing this thread pop back up. I’m going to bring out my 9* today and wake up everyone on the driving range. Even with cotton balls it sounds like a baseball bat at a college game.

 

Reading through this guy again is a delight compared to “I can’t believe you didn’t search before you posted” and “omg why did you search and bring up a 3 year old thread” comments.

I took the L4V X out on the range today. Instantly got some looks and comments after that DONK sound. Still performs just as well as my Taylormade M1 2017.

i have fond memories of this driver, it was a beast of a driver, high launch and seems like carried for days... then the trackman entered my life and its been a roller coaster of swing and equipment changes.

I have 3 in my garage that I am tempted to throw something dirty in.

Embrace the DONK. I was going to put and accuflex vs339 in it. But instead I’m found an accuflex CREATION that needs some attention. Gold shaft+Loud DONK=BOMBS

I have buddy who has one and tried it. Good lord it is noisy but I have never hit golf balls so high and straight. I compared it with my F6 and my other buddies Epic and Ping G, it was not getting left behind. We were hitting indoors and were getting deaf with the noise. lol

The L4V X head I have in the garage might just need a shaft after reading this thread. I got one after watching the '08 Ryder Cup and watching JB send ICBMs with that thing. Stupidly sold it a few years later. Found a head on BST a couple years ago just for this moment....

Still using L4V F 9 deg & using epic x shaft recommended by Robo. Tin can sound and all; it's high draw ball flight & forgiveness is hard to give up. Maybe G400 Max can dislodge it. We'll see.

the only other thread to compete with this is the adams 9015d driver thread. i played one of those all the way up to last year from the time it came out. i still think it may be the longest driver out there.

I think Robo also started a g25 driver thread that was pretty epic. As well as a Cleveland classic with a steel shaft thread that went wild.
