Most satisfying/favorite club/shot to hit?

Last year anytime I was 120-130 yards out I was grabbing my 51° without thinking. Full swing, ball just took off with a ton of height, came in super steep, hit the green and stopped dead in a 15-20ft radius of the pin every time. I was automatic with that club and hope to be again this year.

 

Bombing woods and hitting a long iron pure is super satisfying but putting a ball exactly where you want it from 100+ out is a totally different feeling.

Low punch mid or long iron shot. When you pure it or shape it the way you intended. What a feeling!

You beat me to it, but I'm fine with a 1 iron from the deck or the tee.

Getting older, my 1 iron usage is dwindling....

Man, I've had several shots over the years that really made me feel warm and fuzzy. I have to agree with the nutted 3w off the deck as my favorite, but many come very close. Did this once back in my persimmon days that landed on the front edge of the green and rolled into the hole 235y away. Haven't done it since though. Other are:

Flushed long iron worked either left or right to a tucked pin.

Nipped wedge that pulls back tight or in.

Flop shot that settles tight or in.

Nutted drive that clears that hazard that NO ONE, not even YOU, thinks you can clear!

Varied over the years. Chipping in with anything from a 5 to a SW. But last year was the first time in my golfing life I can say it was the Driver, to be exact , Epic Flash 10.5 set to 9.5 . Opened the face up slightly and all of a sudden I was straighter off the tee with a one way miss.

Also any shot that I ultimately pull... feels so good until you look up "Feels good when you pull it"

A nutted 3W off the deck feels great, but flighting a short iron into wind and sticking it tight has to be even better.

 

You still get the crisp contact, but something about seeing the trajectory doing exactly what you wanted/envisioned, is just so satisfying

Piping a good drive on the 1st tee

Sticking a wedge in close, especially when you hit the putt for bird. One of my last rounds (2 weeks ago), wind was howling in my face. 70yds out, at least an extra club uphill to the green. low punch wedge to a few feet away. Love that crisp feeling + the sound of the ball whizzing as it came off the face. Ah, memories.... :)

My FT-9 makes that a better play than 3w. I've even hit it out of a divot (I was, of course, just a bystander to the club's performance).

100% must be a flushed BLADE long iron with high trayectory.

If I had to choose one it would have to be a pure 3 wood off the deck, but I also love a smashed drive or a pured iron that leaves a nice look at birdie.
