Most satisfying/favorite club/shot to hit?

... Soooooo many, but my favorite is hitting a long 160-200yd knockdown into a 20+ wind that ends up in birdie range. It takes a perfect swing with perfect contact because the slightest mishit or face angle variance produces extra trajectory or spin that sends the ball woefully short or far off line.

Most satisfying shot for me is when shaping any longer club and seeing it start on the line and trajectory I want. No better feeling that executing the shot shape, especially left to right for me as someone that can be a little in to out that struggles starting the ball left at times.

Long iron into a long par 4 or a par 5 perfectly executed.

Flighted PW into a downhill green so that you can see the ball land and check up close to the hole.

Crisp bunker shot that checks up (or rolls out) to tap-in range.

 

But the best has to be:

Winning putt from any distance (but 6~10ft is best).

I’m sure the best is a hole in one, but I wouldn’t know...

Eagle putts, chip ins, hole out from the fairway, a long iron/hybrid/wood that hits and remains on the green, and any kind of solid escape from trouble all feel great to me.

... My only Eagle on a par 4 was playing with my son and I was 185 out into a 25+ mph wind with water left and right of the green. I told him I was gonna knock down my 18* DI and land it 20 yds short of the green and roll it up and on to a front pin placement. One of the best shots of my life and pulled it off exactly as called and it rolled in the hole. Like most 27 yr olds he just gave me the finger and walked way shaking his head LOL.

Favorite is a knock down wedge (any wedge) that is pegging the flagstick when you take that initial peek after contact and see it tracking. Especially when you can tell that it's on track to land a bit past the pin and you know contact was crisp.

That shot always gives me the good vibes because you know it will be tight and maybe go in.

I've holed out with wedges 3 times. They're fun every time. Nearly did it 2 sundays ago. Ball stopped 2 inches short of backing up into the hole.

Perfect contact on my 52* wedge feels sublime. Watching the divot fly, tracking the ball as it approaches the green, hits, and stops dead a few feet from the flag.

 

Then knocking in the putt for a smooth 7 after pumping 2 balls OB off the tee.

Smashing a drive with wind at the back, I'm not a big hitter and driver is the club that I've never consistently gotten along with. I feel like a legit WRX'er when I occasionally poke one out there!

It's got to be 2 or 3 iron off a tee or fairway. Both clubs feel wonderful to nut, but especially so when conditions make the shot the kind of challenge most won't tackle.

I am having a moment. A few weeks back on a Par 4, I hit a not to good hook drive that put the ball in the left tree line 200 yds out on a slight dog-leg left hole. I had two choices, either punch out 60yds into the fairway or straight ahead between two angled tree trunks with about 3' wide gap and low hanging branches. Pulled 3 iron and hit a perfect low punch shot between the trunks to right side of fairway and 40yds left, pin on left front of green, little SW to 5' made the putt to save par and walk off with a smile. Da**, I love reliving good shots. My buddy hit a beautiful drive down the right side about 270 and walked off with bogie.

For me, it's a shot I envy and can rarely hit. Piping a driver or 3w happens with regularity but that low spinner hop and stop from 50 yds is a mystery to me. Trying that keeps my handicap up. Maybe once in 10 tries will that shot work for me.

Long breaking putt is it for me. Second probably the 3 wood that rolls through that gap at the front of the green on a long par 5

I'm easy. Any iron that lands on the green and you have to repair the ball mark is the most satisfying shot.
