I just got a Gen 2 3W that was ordered on 25-May - so 31 days. no black box - and here are pictures of what no black box looks like when you ship in a box that is supposed to be an outer box. You can see the box was accordianed a bit due to a lack of support on the inside for a box that is too big for the item inside with no inner packing material. How many of you would ship something like this on BST? I would be shipping a single club in a single club box with packing on either end and 2-3 wads in between so that the box is supported and will not crush in the middle.

The club arrived fine, but with that thing up against a corner with nothing between it and the box, they are taking a risk that any impact on that corner will damage the club either cosmetically or physically. Not something I am looking for from PXG. Fine don't send a black box, but at least put a block or two in the middle to support the box - the reason those blocks are not there IMO is that the box was not intended to be used in this manner and it seems like a bean counter decision that is not like PXG.

Sorry to nitpick and beat a dead horse but they need to think through their decisions before making them. The club feels awesome though :) Two more clubs to go and the torture will be over - yeah I know what dumb A orders everything separately :)

My Gen 2 Irons that was ordered on 6/1 arrived on 6/25.

The plain box was a big let down, but arrived much quicker than expected.

Guess with the lower price, they got rid of the PXG experience...

At least your irons have appropriate packaging - mine were the same as the 3W around the edge with paper shoved in between - meaning the shafts were along the edge of the box and any hit to the box would hit the shafts. Looks like they are ordering appropriate packaging. Damn, I just emailed about the boxes and got nothing :) I did get a sticker in today's package :) A ball marker and towel would have been way better :)

Got fit & Ordered a gen2xf driver on 5/31 and originally had a build date of 6/19. Ended up getting built sometime this week and a shipping label was created today, but FedEx hasn't received the package yet. Hoping it gets handed off tomorrow so i can get it before the holiday weekend. I'm a little happy that I asked about shipping because apparently you can have it sent to the store for free. Going to take me an hour round trip to go back, but I couldn't stomach paying over 20℅ of the item cost for shipping.

Hey everyone, just adding my timeline in for people who are curious how the supply and demand is coming along for PXG...I ordered a 1st Gen driver for giggles, 7W 2nd Gen, 4-AW 0211, 54 AND 60 0311 wedges on 6/7 at a private fitting. Shipping label was created through FedEx on 6/29. I have yet to see any updated shipment information in 24 hours but I'm supposed to receive everything this Thursday on 7-2. So 3 1/2 weeks from build to delivery. Can't wait!

Interesting stuff today - it looks like PXG has updated packaging a bit. In early June I got my Proto driver in a black box that was inside an outer brown box. Today I got my 22º hybrid that was ordered on 28May - it was wrapped in a black plastic outer shrink wrap and inside was... Yup a black box :) The crazy thing was that it shipped on 26Jun and took two days to leave the Phoenix area and then went 4 days without any FedEx scans. I called to ask what was up and when would it be declared lost (it is 7 days after scheduled delivery) and then that afternoon it gets a scan and the next day it was delivered.

Got my Gen2 0311Ts today with DG 120 4-P. Ordered May 24th and came in Big black box. So did not get scammed on shipping. High quality job.

It will be interesting to see if everyone now gets the black box wrapped in the dark shrink-wrap outer layer. I know it is stupid but that black box is really cool - the clubs are OK too :)

PXG lowered hero pricing for their prototype drivers today. Too bad they have an up charge on a lot of their shafts like Mitsubishi, as still to pricey.

Looks like shipping is picking up. I ordered a Gen 2 hybrid on June 18th and just got the shipping notification from Discount Dans.

It seems like Discount Dans is the big winner in all of this. nothing but glowing praise - I had never heard of them, but will keep them in mind the next time I want to order something :)

My last club is on the way. Sat for a few days in build status then 3-4 more for final inspection and is due to arrive on Friday this week, but I leave Friday morning for a weekend golf trip :) Hoping FedEx has a tail wind from Arizona to Ohio and it makes it on Thursday :) PXG does not allow you to divert the shipment either.

I think only Gen 3 irons come in a black box now. We shall see I ordered a set last week and that was what I was told. Or if you place an order for another set of irons with your Gen 3’s too, which I did. :)

Adding an update to this for others:

I ordered my Gen2 Closer on June 30th, and although the website quoted a ship date of 7/20 my putter has been enroute for several days now and should arrive by next Tuesday. Only downside is how long FedEx taked between AZ and MD.
