Best Looking/Feeling Irons

I have been playing the Wilson Staff V6 irons for close to a year now and can't seem to get away from them. Tried the Miura MC 501's recently just have too small of a blade length. I am open to trying to put something new in the bag, whether forged or a blade. Let me know what irons have worked and felt best for you guys! Interested to see if I can get out to club champion to try out different brands or models that I haven't been open to yet.

Check out New Level Golf and reach out to the owner Eric Burch (long time in the industry and inventor of the Club Connex) if you like. He is very responsive. His irons are gorgeous and feel great. The 902 and 623M are in the compact realm of the V6, which I did play. I leaned toward a 902/623 combo but ultimately opted for the full set of 902s with DG120 shafts. It is like someone took the best qualities of two of my favorite irons, the Bridgestone J15CB and J40 DPC, and made a better version. Shorter blade length than the ‘Stones and perfect weighting with the milled cavities.

You're going to be hard pressed to find anything that actually performs better than the V6. I totally understand the itch, but I would hang onto the V6 even if you do buy something new.

This^ I play the Wilson Staff blades and I love them. If I ever find a set of lefty V6's I'd like a set to mess around with. You have a great set of irons.

I tried the wilson staff blades at roger dunn.  Wow!  ? these clubs felt like butter.  If I needed new blades and saw these on sale, I wouldn't hesitate.

I switched to the Wilson V6 from Taylormade p770 and the feeling is much better. I agree with some others above. You have an awesome iron in the v6's. They feel great, surprisingly forgiving for a good ball striker, consistent distances, and they look soooooo good in the bag. Many ask me about them on the range and on the course. It is a club that just doesn't get much attention by the masses but turns heads.

Now I may be biased as I love my Wilson's but I understand the "need" to always look for what's next. When I get bored on a rainy day i venture to some big box stores to just see what is on the used rack and get some feel for other irons and especially putters. Though that tends to lead to unnecessary spending.

Blades do not feel great.

Maybe the 1 in 10 shots that are somewhere near the middle might feel nice, but the other 9 shots are brutal on the hands, ears and then eyes when you have to look at the result.

Of course if your fit is more in line with game improvement irons , blades would only feel good 1 out of 10. Otherwise , you get no purer feel than from a soft forge blade if you have the game for um.

Not sure the actual year, they are on their website now. Some of the most beautiful clubs ever made in my opinion.

These beauties

Had those and kind of regret selling. How much you asking for them?

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. I think it really is an itch to try something new but at the same time my ball striking has improved a lot since last having blades. Still haven't found anything that can take the V6's off my hands but always willing to try something new for fun and if it outperforms my Wilson's then I can toss them in the bag to game.

If you feel that way then you shouldn't be playing them.

Jpx919 Tours won out over the MP20s for me. I tried a number of other clubs as well (620mb, p730, Apex MB, Cobra MB, Ping Blueprints) and the two Mizunos were at the tops for looks/feel with the 919 Tour edging out on the feel factor. Just buttery soft anywhere near the middle of the face.

My favorite based on looks/feels has always been Titleist forged irons.

However, I have one Miura CB201 4 iron that is fantastic as well.  Looks great and feels like butter when struck solidly.

There's always been a lot of hype around Mizuno irons as well.  They are great, but not as good as forged irons from Titleist, imo

Wilson Staff blades are very nice. Also don't sleep on Srixon with their Z-Forged line. Miura 201's are the best feeling clubs out there right now in my opinion, but they're so high. I just ordered a set of T100S bent one weak as I want a little more forgiveness over my current blades.

I prefer the Apex for feel but the launch angle and spin rates are just right for me.

The only reason why I didn’t go to Mizuno was I wanted break the Mizzy streak and do something radically different.

I wouldn’t have a problem playing the MMC or 919T.

It came down to the 919T vs i210 (very surprised to me because I don’t even like the looks of Pings but they work). The i210 has the tightest shot dispersion pattern and the Px LZ was a free custom shaft choice.

My Apex came with the Px Rifles which is cool to hit both and get two different trajectories but to the same distances. The Apex comes out lower with more spin like throwing darts into the greens whereas the i210 I have to look up at the sky and see where it went?
