Yeah, those will not be part of it. This year is the Phantom refresh, so almost certainly all mallets.

I'd love to see another beach model!

I just doubt he'd do another one, other than a limited release or something like that

 

Thinking the same thing for a Napa as well.  LOL that doesn't bother me as much cause as much as I love to look at them, I can't putt with them worth anything

Awww hell. I was just about to go and buy a Ping PLD for a new fang style putter and now I think I'll need to wait to try this one.

 

Seriously though, looks great. I just feel a bit bad for the people that splashed out for the JT version since it was the closest thing around (even though I think many didn't like the JT branding all over it, myself included).

They are also releasing a new model into the Phantom X line that will have the exact same head shape as the limited H20 putter.

Has anyone heard anything about a release date for the new Phantom models?  Really looking forward to that new 5.5

I've heard release is between Feb 20- March 1st. Fortunate to have just ordered one. Glad I didn't purchase a JT version as this OTR is a 3rd of the cost and I'll be able to customize it.

There was a release schedule for major OEMs floating around. I believe pre-sales in early Feb, release is early Mar. 

 

I'm glad I waited on this and didn't get IBJT one. I like the clean look, i.e. no excessive graphics and dots. Not a big fan of the Phantom name and same color scheme.

I tend to agree.  I wouldn't have minded the JT version in terms of looks, but not at either the original price nor the astronomical secondary market prices.  I don't care for the neon green but at least this one doesn't have it on top the way the current version does with those 3 alignment dots.  Much more looking forward to this cleaner address look.  Speaking of the IBJT model, I wonder how many people dropped the money for that one and now are seeing this and saying "damn, I would have just waited and bought this one for half the price".  I know "inspired-by's" will still hold greater value than OTR models but (just guessing here), I would have to think part of the reason why the JT model was in such demand was the fact that it was the only way at the time to get that head shape without the aluminum and with that neck (short of the going the Circle T route of course).

Will there be a standard version of this 5 coming out? Basically the 2015 version with the updated sight lines and the shaft mounted to head for less toe flow?
