Would have loved to have seen Rickie’s model with the straight flanges out the back, steel single piece and a slant neck.

Still Aluminum but a steel color instead of the black.

Where is this info from? I’m told the main body of the new Phantom line is 303 stainless like the Justin Thomas model.

I think this was in regards to the 2019 Phantom release. From the rumored pictures the face looks to be stainless. Below directly from the Scotty Cameron website based on the 2019 line.

I’m pretty sure the majority of phantom line will remain the same construction, with aluminum face, but the x5, 5.5, and 11 will have that steel face. That’s what it looks like to me.

You are correct, the posted text above was from the 2019 model, I thought I had read in my material it was the same.  But I was wrong.   The below is the official description.

 

" Its solid face/body configuration is precision milled from 303 stainless steel, and integrated with an aluminum sole plate and customizable stainless steel sole weights."

Really hoping this is just a precursor for what’s to come. Get the CT sales out of the way before OTR regular models get announced. Thoughts?

My local shop told me today preorder will start “early March,” will hit shelves “late March.” That’s as specific as they’d get. No clarity on when an official announcement will occur, unfortunately.

March 24th is the release date according to my local shop.  They already placed an order for me through their rep.  

 

Not sure when the announcement will be.

I did the same. Asked my pro shop to look into their orders and they’re setting one aside when it comes in in March. The one that was posted on here was purchased for $429 from a retailer. Sounds like he just got lucky and they accidentally put a couple out on the floor before release

Yeah Phantoms were 429 so I wouldn’t expect anything too different from that
