Hi all, I read previous reviews on here but wanted to know if anyone has stuck with the stability putter shaft and/or could provide long term reviews. Thank you!

I have 3 in my personal putters and have installed about 10 others.   I’ll never own a plumbers neck style head without one.  My putting has consistently been the best part of my game almost all year with the exception of my last round.

The shaft helps the ball hold its line better.  I was fit on a quintic and the shaft made a beneficial change to the ball roll on both putter heads I took.

I will say I didn’t like the feel of the shaft in my flow neck.  Muted the face too much and killed the feel in my hands.

That's interesting to hear. I'm considering having them put in mine as a project over the winter. What putter had the flow neck on it that you didn't care for it in? The new Special Selects are a bit firmer than the deeper milled stuff out there so I don't know if it would be as much of an issue.

Interesting to hear about the difference in necks giving different feel, was thinking of getting a BGT for one of my flow necks but may stick with the stock shaft and put it in a plumbers neck instead.

Could totally just be me and how hyper sensitive I am to the feel of that particular putter.   I love the shafts but not in that head type for me.  The studio putter is what I competed in about 100 tournaments in college with so I’m pretty in tune to that putter head and how that face felt with a pro v and the tour b xs.  Just didn’t get along with it.  I love the stability shaft in both my byrons and my tour rat.

I've had one in my Artisan 0318C with a deep milled face. Love the soft feel and the accuracy the combo brings to the course. On long lag putts, they go exactly where I was looking and the shaft feels smooth from start to finish. I'm thinking about playing around with a tour version over the winter to see if there is much difference between the two shaft models.

I had mine since October 2018. It's the original Stabilty shaft on my Bill Presse IV's Directed Force 2.05 putter (customised by Bill personally)

Yeah, this is a great combo and it's still in bag even now.

Strength of the shaft is with the longer putts (> 20 ft). Anything less than that, it performs similar to any other shaft IMO.

The shaft graphics is still really good even after such time. Zero issues with the shaft or the putter. Everything rock solid and tight.

I am probably in the minority but I put the stability tour in my SC Newport and used it for about half the season. I really did not notice any difference. My lag putting actually maybe got a little worse. Head weight could have been off I am not sure. Ended up selling and bought another Newport and installed the KBS CT Tour shaft.

I will say I find it interesting hardly any pros use them. If they would save them 1 shot a round they would all be switching to them IMO.  I know Ian at TXG swears by them and he is a unreal putter. M.G.S did a test and actually showed it performed worse on long putts/better on short putts. If you google the article you can find it.

I like the KBS CT Tour shaft much more I think it makes the putter feel much more solid plus the black shaft looks sweet.

I have two Tours.  I like them enough not to remove them and put back to stock.  It's just a putter shaft at the end of the day.

Thoughts on Stability Tour shaft in a face balance putter like the spider s? You mostly have them in plumber style putters. Is their a difference, in terms of performance?

Yeah there is.  I don’t think it makes as significant of a difference but it does.   I just put one in my brothers odyssey 7s that’s face balanced and he likes it.

Thank you. One more question, do you think the stability shaft performs better in a plumber neck or mallet? Thanks again,

I’m not a mallet guy so I can’t speak to that. I’ve had them in flow necks and plumbers both and they make the biggest difference for me in the plumbers configuration.

I played my first round with my stability in my flow neck Scotty. Only three putted once and had 30 putts. Pretty good day for me. Either way I figure having the stability shaft can only help me.

so stability shaft's benefit is it allows the face to square better. then it makes sense that it benefits plumbers neck better than mallet with face-balanced?

I ordered a Tour black. I'm deciding which putter I should put it in.

I think it helps with deflection on off center or not perfect strikes

I recently out the stability tour on my Scotty Phantom.  It it nice, but nothing earth shattering.  Personally, I wouldn't pay full retail for one, based on what I’ve seen over about 6 rounds.  Don’t get me wrong, it is good, just nothing to really write home about.

I have one in my mizuno m craft I.  It feels great and very stable.  It’s only been in for about 4 months, but so far so good.  It took a good 3 rounds to adjust to the feel and weight.  I’m really enjoying it at the moment.

I’m curious, to those using one, have you had to increase or decrease your putter head weight?

The tour is designed to be a direct replacement for steel from a swing weight perspective.  The standard stability shaft increases head weight by roughly 3 points I believe

I just went to the site and saw the matte black version. I don't need a new putter shaft. I don't even really want a new putter shaft. I sincerely hope that it sells out before my poor impulse control gets the better of me, cause otherwise I'm buying one.

Seriously though; What's the opinion of some people who were already strong putters. I genuinely feel like putting is the best part of my game. A 3-putt is rare for me, and basically never inside 35 feet or so. I average 30-32 putts per round and truly can't remember the last time I had 36. That's not to say I'm a great putter, by any means. My biggest miss is leaving putts short, but I'm rarely starting the ball off line. I LOVE my putter setup just as it is, so I'd hate to spend $300 on a SHAFT, just to have it hurt my overall putting game. Has anyone who was already confident on the green gotten one of these and seen a change in their speed control? If I thought that it would make me hit putts inside 20 feet a fraction harder and putts outside 30 feet a fraction softer, I'd buy one so damn fast.

Also, side question: I'm assuming these have the same internal dimensions as a regular shaft to be able to accept counterweights and such? I have the Sense S1 grip with the adjustable weight bar and I'd like to keep using it.

I play at just over a 2 handicap and the shaft made me hole more putts after verifying the benefits weren’t a placebo on quintic.    I’ve said it multiple times now.... the shafts won’t make a poor putter in to a good putter but they do make good putters better.   I’d say make sure the shaft helps your stroke before you dump the money.   You can get both models way cheaper than 300 bucks on eBay if you want to demo one.

bro, I am (was) in exactly same situation!  My putting game is strongest than others and I was totally fine with my Evnroll.

I saw the tour black and just ordered it. I never fathomed of spending $50, let alone $300 for a putter shaft, but if you think about it, it's only $300 and you rarely change your putter. $300 for 3-4 years of usage is totally fine with me.

I go out for a sushi dinner and it costs $300.

Currently BGT is backed up so if you send you putter in, they don't know when they'll finish it. So if you can install it locally, buy the shaft only.
