Any new $2-3k simulator coming in 2021?

Any news or rumors about a new golf simulator coming out this next year to compete with the mevo+ and skytrak?  Or perhaps a new model of skytrak? (which is currently operating on hardware from 2014)

 

Just wondering if anybody has heard anything.  This is strictly for simulators in the $1.5k to $3.5k range.

It’s almost like a mini GC Quad. If it is then I would happily pay the 4K for it.

Put down the deposit, and craving more info - they have kept the details very quiet. If it what they claim it to be, they should be able to sell a ton of these at $4k compared to what else is out there.

Certainly some potential - but it's actually disappointing just how little information is available at this point.  What will it measure?  what will it calculate?  How much room is required for the setup?  What sim software will it be integrated with?   Will it support Android, ipad or both?    What kind of support or accuracy for chipping and putting or is it just a full swing monitor?

The full swing simulator link above appears to be "an outdoor compliment" to their indoor simulation systems, which appear to be a fortune.  Bummer.

If you visit the chat on this on the golf simulator forum website, a couple of folks reached out and got some responses that make it sound like a mevo+ that will have some club data. It is supposed to work indoors and will have an official partnership with TGC software, and runs with a combo of camera and radar. I’m skeptical about radar systems indoors, so am really looking forward to early reviews.

I'm not sure how they expect people to reserve theirs if they're unwilling to even sate what the 15 data points "after every swing" are.

Also think the FS Sim looks way too vague. The only reason I threw $100 out there was because if they were able to get Tiger to put his name on it they have to have huge plans for it. Hoping it’s what they say it is, but thinking it may be an overpriced Mevo plus. They hit the sweet spot with that 2k price and indoor outdoor plus simulation.

Apparently, it will be a combo system of radar and cameras. Very little detail yet, but there should be a bunch of new info coming for the PGA show next week.

There is definitely a need to a reasonably priced indoor LM that works well.  Works well seems to require a camera based system, so basically a Skytrack with club data.  Was hopeful of Mevo+, but too many setup/consistency issues with it indoors.  I'm surprised Skytrack has not done more/better updates.

I watched the the Mevo+ Demo Webinar that FlightScope recently did and I was pretty impressed. I was really impressed with FS Golf &FS Skills apps as they seem like they'd be great practice tools which is what I would want the Mevo+ for. Being able to get fairly accurate distance readings along with shot shape, dispersion and the other blub & ball stats that Mevo+ provides is great. 

 

Yes, I have read here as well as in another Mevo+ facebook group that some have issues with chipping and putting, but that isn't a big concern for me. Those are things I like to practice outside to really dial in and don't rely on simulation for short game. For me, being able to play some sim golf would be an added bonus but I don't put a lot of stock into sim golf and it's more just entertainment. To me the value is in the ability to practice indoors and have a good representation of my ball flight and distances.

Rumor around the camp fire is that a company that rhymes with Charmin is bringing out a GC Quad type of launch monitor for sub $5k.  It was supposed to launch at the live PGA Show but since that's not happening this year, who knows when it will release.
