Anyone gaming these? I tried the ZX5 driver today and wow it felt great and seemed much flatter lie angle. Also did not seem closed face like the Z585. In addition it is now adjustable and not a glued hosel. I would love to hear some comparisons.

I'm dying. I got my ZX5 Saturday. It has been raining cats and dogs here for too many days in a row. Lots of our ranges are closed since all the balls are plugging and they cant get the range pickers out. I agree that that face seems to sit pretty square.

ZX5 v Z785. Now I just need to dry weather!

I don't have comparison to the 585 but the ZX5 and ZX7 are both really solid offerings this year. Both feel like the ball really jumps off the face and they seem hot on off-center shots. The ZX5 is pretty forgiving and has a higher launch, but is the louder of the 2 drivers. Low heel shots seemed to carry farther than with my SIM Max and stay online just as well. The ZX7 has a more penetrating flight and better sound to it. Both offer good feel of the ball compressing on the face.

Anyone have an update on if the new adapter is reverse compatible to give a flatter lie angle in a 785?

Just received a ZX Hybrid 3 with KBS Prototype 85s shaft. Not sure why but this weight comes at no up charge, where the 75g and 95g options are significantly more expensive. Sits square or maybe just a touch open and looks great from the top! Will report back when I have a chance to get it out. Great offerings this year, should match up well with my ZX combo iron set with $-taper shafts!

I hit the new fairway on a simulator and was getting 170 plus ball speeds and it sounds amazing. I might get the 3 plus and build a stenson type club. What’s the face angle? Hopeful that the 3 plus is open ish, but I don’t know. The 15 went really good with stable spin. Was going further than my Callaway tour issue head fit to me... or better ball speed same spin.

I took a ZX5 head and put into a z65 series adaptor and had no issues, so should be ok to use a ZX series adaptor and fit a 785 head.

They look exactly the same except that lie angle settings are backwards.

The ZX adaptor goes from standard lie to 2 deg flatter setting, but 65/85 series adaptor goes standard to 2 deg upright. I'm not sure if785 head fitted to the new adaptor would give you flatter overall lie angle though.

When I tried the ZX5 with its stock shaft, I felt it was too upright in its standard lie angle settings, fyi.

My educated guess is that they use the same hosel, just re-labeled it. The 2* upright on the previous model is now the standard setting. So, no I don’t think you would gain anything with new hosel.
I looked at specs and new driver is 1* more upright than z785, so this re-labeling would make sense.
Either way, I have both drivers and both hosels. I will take to course and see if I can tell a difference.

After looking at both hosels side x side, my inclination was correct. Same hosel, just labeled differently. No it will not flatten an older z785 driver 2 degrees. You can use a newer hosel in the old head though, just line it up to 2 deg flat for what was z785 standard setting.

I finally got a long round in with my new ZX5. ZX5 - 9.5* with a ADDI6  Stiff. I'm coming from a z785 -9.5, with the Evenflow Blue 65S.

I have a negative AoA with my driver and it normally results in a low ball flight. MY SS is around 95.

After playing 27, I'm a believer in the Rebound Frame. I hit it all over the face and the ball still wanted to go straight and long. The launch was quite a bit higher than I'm used to as well, and it was glorious. Between the 2 new things I noticed, I had a lot of confidence on the tee. The weather was cold, windy, and the ground was really damp so it was easy to mark off my distances. I'm excited for what this season brings when I'm able to hit in regular conditions. Sorry, I dont have any numbers, but my real world experience was fantastic despite lackluster conditions.

What’s the writing next to the loft on Shane Lowry’s driver? Is this a different version head of the Zx5?

Srixon is currently NOT taking any custom orders on their drivers or irons due to high demand per the website!!!  Looks like the ZX7 iron sets are “out of stock”.

They are still taking orders through their account holders. They shut off the direct to consumer channel to allow fitters and others with accounts to be able to fulfill orders still.

Is that true for drivers and woods or also with their irons?  Interested in a ZX Utility but it seemed to go out of stock first out of all of them.

What’s the point of having a direct to consumer website if you can not operate it?  Titleist seems to be the only company right now that can fulfill orders in a timely manner.  Taylormade and Ping seem to have longer than normal lead times, and Srixon’s website always has issues and less than average customer service support for their web shop.   They seem to prefer to push consumers to dealers, which makes no rational sense when they are still the manufacturer who has to fulfill the orders received.

I have the ZX7 and the ZX 13.5. The driver is very solid and I love the ball flight. The fairway wood is a rocket. Very very solid and sits absolutely perfect. If I had to guess it’s about 1* open to my eye.
