Best shoes for walking in the HEAT.

The ECCO Cool-pros seem amazing, but wanted to see if there were more budget oriented options - I don't *need* perforated yak leather and goretex lol

 

- Play in Phoenix and most worried about breathability in the summer. 

- Pretty much a fair weather guy, so won't be playing in wet conditions, don't need gore-tex etc

- Walk\Carry bag frequently so comfort at a premium. 

 

For reference the Adidas Ultraboost 19 running shoe is about my favorite ever - but not seeing anything similar in the golf range from them.

Puma for most guys I play with in south Florida.  Super light breath well and dry fast.

Not necessarily the best golf shoe but Nike Roshe / Roshe tour I find very light and comfortable almost like you are in running shoes. I think there are better golf functional shoes out there.... these to me are just light and close to runners.

If you like Ultraboost, the Adipure Knit Boost is the golf equivalent. Great summer shoe.

My feet sweat all the time but my footjoy pro sl’s keep them nice and cool. Also very comfortable. They’re not the best in wet conditions but if your a fair weather golfer these are a great choice

I always wear top quality Footjoy shoes (currently Dryjoy Tour and Icon Black) and have no problems playing in the heat. I'm in Maryland so our summers get hot but not quite like Arizona.  Part of the solution is also wearing good socks.  I wear the Footjoy Pro-dry roll tabs and they work pretty well.

Good socks are almost if not as important as shoes in keeping your feet cool. Bombas makes some golf specific ankle socks that I’m a huge fan of. The seem to keep my feet cooler and drier than anything else I’ve tried regardless of what shoe I’m wearing.

I'm really liking my True Linkswear True Lux Knit shoes with Kentwool socks.  Gotta wear great socks man.

I picked up a pair of Adidas Adicross Bounce 2.0 last year that I really enjoyed during summer.  I also walk and these worked great on 90-100 degree days.

The spikeless Roshe are very good for hot, dry days as long as it is a light color. The darker ones will absorb that sun.

I was an Ultraboost guy for practicing all the time for a long time. Then, about 2 years ago I discovered No Bull’s knit runners and they are about all I wear on the course now even for competitive rounds. They have as an aggressive sole as any other spikeless shoe on the market and they are super comfy. I sprayed mine with Reshoevn8 waterproofing spray and I’ve never had to deal with moisture. They have some wild soles if you like that as well. You should really give them a look.

Love UB.  I have about 10 pairs. My golf shoes last year was the adidas Crossknit 2.0.  Bit of an old shoe and kinda ugly, but has the UB sole, so really comfy.  Also the knit upper kept my feet cool on the hottest days.  It's a shame the soles cracked on me.  Seems like that's an issue with adidas spikeless golf shoes as I see other people having the same issue with the CodeChaos.

For those of you that have suggested Puma which model of pumas have been the most breathable for you? Feet sweat like crazy and doesn’t rain much where I play any suggestions would help!

I have several models of True Linkswear and love them all, especially for walking. Great fit, comfort, and stability

If you´re willing to try a non golf brand you should give the Vans Ultrarange a shot. They´re super breathable, comfortable, the traction is just as good as most spikeless shoes on the market  and they look way cooler.

Funny enough I wear those daily but never thought about wearing them for golf

I never thought of it either until I was on vacation in Europe And got an invitation to play golf but didn’t have any of my stuff. I thought I’d use it as an excuse to get some new things, went to the store and hit some shots when I walked in and realized I could definitely play in my Vans, haven’t looked back since.

Yes most if the shoe is actually mesh/fabric but there is a coating on it so that the cloth doesn’t get dirty so quickly. So its not totally  breathable but I find it way more breathable than leather/synthetic shoes. Perfect for the dry hot summer days, wouldn’t wear them when it’s wet/damp.
