Mizunos iron wait time.

Okay, so I don't have the patience of a saint.  Placed my order on May 18 for MMC's, 4-P with KBS C-Taper lite shafts.  As I heard nothing regarding the status I sent an email to Mizuno Customer Service requesting an update.  Received a very quick response advising the 4 iron head was due in today but the CT lite shafts were on backorder.  Spit.  Would I like to make a change?  So I requested a change to KBS tour 120 shafts.  A very helpful Customer Service Rep advised with the order change I could expect the clubs to be shipped next week.  Now my anticipation level is even higher than before.

 

If you have the order number just send along a friendly email asking for status.  The CSR I emailed was very helpful.

FYI, I read in the MB22 pre release thread that Mizuno is no longer taking custom orders for MB20's.  YMMV.

I ordered the 921 Forged 5-AW with KBS C-Taper Lite in stiff on June 11. Was told 6 weeks (will be 5 on Friday) and haven't heard anything. Grips were Tour Velvet with the instruction to sub in anything else that's close.

 

Was fitted at and ordered from Carl's Golfland, who did not give me a specific order number. Fingers crossed that C-Taper Lite delay doesn't have me waiting the majority of the summer.

Either coincidence or they saw my post, but just got a call from Carl's. C-Taper Lite is back ordered until at least 8/15 according to Mizuno. Going to give the KBS Tour 105 a try in stiff (110g, which matches the C-Taper Lite in Stiff).

I contacted Mizuno direct for my 5/6 order. they just said that the club head came in today and it would be shipping out early next week.. we will see i guess.

Contacted Mizuno today to check in on my June 2 order for JPX 921 SELs with Project X LZ 6.0s. They said they should ship toward the end of next week, no component problems related to the order holding it up (so they do have the LZs on hand). Just sharing the data point in case it’s useful info; will update when I get them.

 

Edit: Posted an update below; they shipped on July 21.

Unless you really need the boardier profile of the C-Taper Lite, I think you will like the KBS Tour 105.  It was one of my favorite steel shafts until I moved into graphite.  Always performed well for me, and I preferred it to the likes of CTL, Modus Tour 105, etc.  YMMV.

6 weeks today since I ordered the 921 Forged 5-AW. Spoke with Carl's yesterday, their most recent quote from Mizuno is roughly 7 weeks. Fingers crossed I hear something in the next week.

Ordered JPX 921 SEL 4-GW with Project X LZ 6.0 shafts on June 2. Shipped on July 21. I should be getting them early next week.

Ended up being 8 weeks exactly. Ordered June 11, showed up August 6.

Also ordered on June 11. Getting 921 HMP's with Steelfiber shafts. My pro shop just confirmed that they shipped on Friday so should hopefully be here this week.

This Wednesday, August 11, will be eight weeks.  Although I'm striking my Wilson Staff Model CBs well, I'm still a bit anxious to game the new 921 Forged set.  If it takes 9 or 10 weeks total, I suppose that won't be so bad when I compare it to the TM wedge I ordered back in April.

My sons set was 8 weeks and 1 day from order to delivery. My set I ordered on June 26 is at 6 weeks and 3 days (counting today) and I’m told they should be shipping out today to DD’s and then when they get them they’re gonna overnight them to me. So fingers crossed they’ll be here by this weekend.

Golf club ordered JPX 921 Tour and 52/54/58 T20 wedges on my behalf on July 13th and was quoted 4-6 weeks. 

 

Got an update yesterday after pestering the club that Mizuno says the order is expected to ship September 1st, which will be about 7 weeks from order to shipping.

 

Should have just ordered them myself so I could track it without having to attempt to get a response via email from the club... c'est la vie

Got my tracking notification today, but looks like they’re not being overnighted, but still delivery for Monday so that’s good I guess. Tomorrow would be 7 weeks from order date.

I've seen some people have their orders come in so fast but some are so slow.. I imagine you got the SEL set? Can't imagine demand would be too high for that.

Hmm I haven't been able to find a pattern really yet.. Seems like people are getting Hot Metal/Pro faster than I've seen people getting Forged/Tour though so maybe you're in luck
