Mizunos iron wait time.

Good point lol I guess what I’m getting at is when it’s this close it’s worth waiting to see what the new ones offer (same as a landcruiser, when Toyota finally got CarPlay I’m sure people who just bought their car were extremely pissed because they didn’t wait a few months). Example would be that if the new ‘21 HMB had a topline similar to the MB and MMC that would be something worth the wait.

It's now 1/13, and I've not heard whether they've started building them or anything like that.

Mine came in on 1/25. However, Mizuno put in the wrong flex shaft, so I had to take them back and they had to do it all as a new order, which occurred on 1/27. At that time, the HMP heads were backordered until 1/30 (now it shows them on back order until 2/28). So, if the same time line holds based on the backorder date, I expect they should arrive sometime the week of 1/15 or so. But I guess time will tell (though they did note on the order form that Mizuno should consider it a rush order since it was their mistake that is causing us to have to re-order, but they said that they cannot guarantee that Mizuno will rush it, regardless).

Their website says 5 to 6 weeks.  My fitter did tell me they are building on Saturday now so maybe that time goes down.

I ordered Jan. 4th and haven't heard anything about a ship date yet. Was told 3-5 weeks at time of order, hoping to get them soon.

if you like what they offer currently don’t really need to wait, won’t be until season is coming to an end in sept. when they are released. I know what you mean though, I’ve waited for releases and then by the time it comes out another iron is right around the corner from different manufacturer so you decide to wait and see that as well.
 

Saying that I did hear from mizuno that there will be an iron in the mp18sc profile as well. That was missing in the mp20 line

I got a custom set of 919 Forged with DG tour issue right before the 921s dropped. Been a little while and I don’t remember the exact turn around time. It was in the 3-4 week range though. Before Covid it was 5-7 business days!

Ordered MP20 HMB on 12/26 thru Golf Galaxy and still waiting.  Last time I checked they estimated shipping on 2/10.  Long flipping time to wait.  Especially since my last Mizuno custom order, pre COVID, only took a week.

Fade me. I ordered 210s in December. My builder called Ping and it sounded like they had received more heads from Asia and John Solheim was in on weekends helping assemble clubs. I hope my 210s are built by Paul Wood and not the CEO. 🙂

All non-G425 models are being put on the back burner until they are caught up. That came straight from a retailer.

I called Mizuno last Friday and was told an order placed that day would arrive around March 12th.

I heard that same thing. As long as it's FIFO it's all good. If I find out that Ping delivers G425 in less time than my i210s I will be done with Ping.

That's not what I'm hearing... The retailer told me a story about a customer who wanted a G410 wedge and PING said not until they are caught up.

If I can verify this tomorrow at my retailer then I will cancel the order and refund. This was the first time I have ever ordered from Ping, and with cancellation, the last.

There are many good sticks out there including the ones currently in my bag.

Ping lost at least one shipping container overboard so that has probably been a big part of it. I think someone posted that it could have been around 135,000 heads.

Anyone knows if the wait time depends on what club you ordered? If they have different production lines, clubs that aren't so much in demand may be produced quicker?

I hope my irons get delivered similar to your timeline because I Ordered MP-20 MMCs five days later on Jan 1 and was told they’d be delivered Feb 1. Hopefully it’s only a couple more days but still haven’t heard that they’ve been shipped.

I spoke with my retailer and indicated if there is no firm shipping date assigned then I would cancel the order.

He asked for a day to contact Ping. I agreed and the next day I was told build today and ship tomorrow.

So, it appears I have a chance of getting them in 18 weeks total if this is true.
