Going to find out....The finance is handled by Global UK Limited and you can pay local taxes, duties/fees and club pricing all in one order.  PayPal is available.

Note:  Keep the amount under a certain amount? and no duties plus free shipping.  Same outcome as buying in the US!

I have an order in for the Callaway Apex TCB in the 7 - PW with Project X LS, 6.5 shafts (no upcharge).

Just minutes after placing the order via the Global UK Limited (on Scottsdale website), I received emails confirming the order from Scottsdale and also that my order had been placed with Callaway Customs.

Orders are expected to ship in 3 - 4 weeks.

So far seems very easy to order with no cons that I can see especially if no duties/fees.

Great info, thanks!

 SHHHHHHHHHHH🤫

If somebody finds out they may pull accounts, censor and/or shutdown orders....Eli is not going to like the fact that the Wankers figured out how to circumvent their distribution channels. 🤣😂

You better hurry up and get your order in😜

Are the offset specs correct on Callaway’s European site? Are they really less than the MB’s?

Not exactly the same as the MB's but similar on the short end.

Also compared to the 21 Apex.....alot less offset in the TCB compared to the APEX.

The retail version TCB's are not what Xander and Rahm are playing. They are playing the "dot" version of this iron...

Wonder if the retail version has the flubber material in them?

From the design of the other Callaway heads and from what I have read about it, it appears the TCB hollow body (see inside the red rectangle below) area will have a tungsten insert along with a layer of microspheres.

So you're suggesting if they come up with a new idea that is great they should just sit on it?

I worked for Taylormade for about five years and it was a conscious decision for us to let our Engineers go wild and not limit them with longer product cycles, at least for metal woods, and it's worked pretty well.  The knock is well my product is out of date already but if it works there's no reason why you can't keep using a club that isn't in the current cycle so it's just more options with some of them at a reduced price.

It's a lot to keep up with but I'd rather have options than have to wait longer should they release something I don't like.

FWIW I personally love the new X Forged irons.

No, I'm not suggesting they "wait" on it- I'm suggesting they give us a streamlined players iron lineup and release so players can test everything and build a set that suits them.  I'm actually suggesting the opposite and they RELEASE the Apex TCB here in the U.S. but they aren't because they have the X-Forged.  Just like Titleist, Taylor Made, Srixon and others have no problem doing.

Also, c'mon irons aren't changing that much and most of the time it's just combining stuff.  Like the new Apex is really just an assembly of stuff they've previously done:

- Forged hollow body construction (released with Apex CF16)

- Urethane Microspheres for sound dampening/feel (released with Rogue iron lineup)

- 360 Cup Face in the 'Pro' model long irons (released in the '19 Apex Pro)

- AI face (released with Mavrik iron lineup)

- Precise tungsten placement for each iron (done with most iron lineups since 2016)

It's more of a refresh/update with all their previous existing tech and that is fine! It didn't need to be overhauled.  The clubs were already good and if it's subtle refinements then great.

Again... I just don't understand why they can't release their signature Apex iron lineup together so people like myself whom like their products can test them.  Why do we have to get a MB in October, an Apex Pro in January and a players cavity at a "who knows if they'll release it or not".

And as a marketer by profession the fact their two best youngest tour pro stars (Rahm and Xander) have the Apex TCB in their bags and it's not available at stores to consumers is mind-boggling stupid.

There is a lot more that goes into design a new iron than you can imagine even if they use previous technology.  They're probably doing testing and designing the tooling right now for irons that will be released in October.

I think equipment companies are struggling a little bit with the wrap around season.  We had it made when I was in the business.  Our tour staff would start testing in October/November, we'd leak sometime in December, our new gear would show up in bags on TV in Hawaii and we would have an official launch a couple weeks later at the PGA Show.

As I said earlier I was surprised that they didn't make X Forged their flagship hollow body iron resembling the Apex Pro and release the TCB with the Apex line in place of the Apex Pro.  It looks a little cleaner if you launch the X Forged along with the UT in the fall and then the full Apex line in the spring.  The only thing I can think of is the TCB would probably be their worst seller, maybe not as bad as the MB, and that would mean the people you're marketing combo set to would be going with an X Forged/Apex combo set which would be a bit muddy too.  Luckily it looks like they're going to do at least a limited offering of TCBs so if you want to play something that resembles what a couple of their pros are playing you'll have your chance.

Callaway's releases are tough if you need instant gratification and want everything released at once but they offer some great options if you're patient enough to wait until February or March.

It literally seems like all their staff is going into this model and yet it’s not available. Crazy.

Would/should this fit the majority of golfers or really many amateur players over the Apex Pro- probably not but it still should be available.

They bought the Apex name from Hogan golf for a reason- to be their flagship iron line. They got a little drunk on the success of Epic driver and tried to parlay that into a PXG copy but really Apex is their premier iron lineup. That’s why I don’t like the chunky DCB version although it’s fine I suppose as more options

There’s a lot of folks who also like the X Forged. I had the ‘13 model and it was terrific. But they’ve got to figure out a way to separate them. Either make the MB an X Forged and leave Apex the players distance line or just have two player cavity forged products- X Forged and Apex TCB. Or phase X Forged out. Or just release X Forged stand alone every 5-6 years.

This is an example of how the K.I.S.S. Rule works (see photo):

In the meantime, Callaway has:  Apex, Apex DCB, Apex Pro and Apex MB; and APEC TCB??? / with the X-Forged being they step-child.

1).  What is the Apex Pro trying to be?  A P770?  T100?  Gender Neutral?...

2).  The X-Forged seems like it’s all dressed up but wasn’t invited to the party?  Why not make it flow/work with the Apex MB to cover the “tour/better” player category of a cavity back and muscle back (i.e. Titleist CB/MB Series).

To your #2 point that is what Callaway did. They released the X Forged with the new Apex MB back in the fall. That’s what was confusing again is we knew the new Apex line was coming a few months later. So spring time they release Apex, Apex Pro and a new Apex DCB but then their tour staff goes into an un-released Apex TCB model which is the frustrating point...

In terms of just the Apex line it’s not a perfect comparison but compared to TM it would be...

P7MB = Apex MB

P7MC = *unreleased Apex TCB

P770 = Apex Pro (note: in ‘16 and older released the Apex Pro actually went into the P7MC slot but they’ve decided to make it a hollow body distance iron to compete with i500 and P770)

P790 = Apex (note: just like above Apex Pro the ‘16 Apex CF16 were closer to the P770 (but with a cavity) but they’ve since strengthened the lofts even more making these pure distance irons that look good. In other words they moved the Apex Pro and Apex sort of down a slot and then made a new TCB model for tour staff that is unreleased in US)

P790TI(?) = Apex DCB

then Callaway has X Forged to fit that P7MC but that’s different than the Apex line. It’s also an iron to suit a different player. Yes it’s a one piece forging but it has a little more offset and IMO just doesn’t really pair well from a combo set with the Apex line.

I’d prefer we have the option of combo’ing the Apex TCB with Apex Pro. Or Apex MB with Apex TCB. Or Apex MB, Apex TCB and Apex Pro. Etc.

Love Callaway, but they are becoming Taylormade of the circa 2010 era.  So many models, too many tour issue one offs, no pros playing retail clubs, etc.  Of course I still want all of it so I guess the demand is working.

Hey Callaway, just do me a solid and release the Epic triple diamond in lefty and we’ll be all good!
