I purchased a set of x-forged but part of me really wants to pick up a set of tcb’s as well maybe even only 8-pw to combo with the x-forged. I do like the offset specs better on the tcb’s

Have to say, Callaway is one of the few OEM’s that makes tour issue products available to the public.  Only select accounts get a small amount, but good on them.

I like that these TCBs will have Apex on the back even though they look similar to the x Forged. The previous generation you had to try and find the DOT(s) on the hosel to figure out which model it was.

Jacob Davidson: The Apex TCB is similar to the Apex Pro “dot” heads he had success with, but in this case, he liked the feel a bit more, and the longer irons gave him a few more RPM’s of spin, which is always welcome.

• 6-iron spin: 6,600 RPM

The offsets aren’t that much different when you convert millimeters to inches.  They do look more forgiving though.

Can’t believe there are no reviews out on these since they are available in Europe. Tons of reviews on the rest of the apex line from guys over there

Interesting he mentioned the feel difference.  I'm really curious to know what that means.  Sole design difference?  Softer at impact?  Firmer?  I know it's all subjective and player dependent, but it has definitely piqued my interest.  These '19 double dots are extremely soft.

The TCB is only available for PreOrder in the EU based upon the sites I have visited.

Delivery is mid to late February.

So....maybe in two to three weeks we will be seeing reviews.

For sure, I was referring to all the utube reviewers that have reviewed the rest of the apex line that is also pre-order. Like mentioned hopefully we will see something in the next couple of weeks

I assume that the TCB being a much more limited release compared to the world-wide apex line that is the reason for not seeing TCB demos sent to interested parties.  Yeah, in a few weeks they will be showing up and we will have more in depth info.

The only item I noticed is that Xander is now going with a "RAW" version of the TCB.

Just seems like more Callaway staffers are bagging now from Leishman, Will Gordon, Burns, Stricker.  Maybe I'm mistaken but seemed to me they were popping up more.

Even in Europe where this is a "normal" release I've yet to see an actual TCB head in hand and not just some product picture. Seems a bit odd.

Another Callaway staffer with the Apex TCB in the bag, but no word or explanation on their release???  Not sure how this makes sense from a marketing perspective.

 

As a consumer, I would be pissed (I know this happens with other brands, but...), if I just bought a new set of one of their 100 other newly released sets only to find out there are additional “new” sets possibly, yet to be released.  

 

When the perception is that everyone of their staffers seems to be playing an iron that is not available to the market, wouldn’t you want to market it and get the new toy into the hands of every kid out there?  Especially, with the “big” signing of Rahm?

 

Why would a consumer purchase the new Apex, Apex DCB, Apex Pro 21 or X Forged CB when they do not appear to be in play?

Any idea on how many of the Apex Pro DOTs were released? They seem like a similar offering and were only listed on  the Callaway site for a month or so.

It because the irons are only available via custom order. Most of the YT reviewers seem to stay pretty mainstream or widely available with their gear reviews.
