Leggy blondes in workout clothes and you're posting pics of the locker room? 🐿️

The girl looked 15. Last time I had pics of 15yo girls on my phone it didn’t end

well. And mom, looked like... a mom! Haha

no offense to any moms! Just not my type 😊

I like Pebble Beach. I like the smell and view of the ocean there. The greens are smaller than perhaps people who haven’t played it played it think they are from seeing it on TV. Smallest greens of any course played on tour.

Carmel and the area is a wonderful mix of land and sea.

Monterey CC is really nice, too. It’s interesting that during a renovation, the designer changed the routing. Since most golfers are right handed, he reversed the routing of many holes along the ocean so the majority of players have the ocean in front of them instead of at their backs. Smart idea.

I need to go again this year.

Love the Nicklaus locker.

I'm just hoping to inspire someone on the pics - later this month a thread in the Etiquette section, "I took these phone pics from behind at Pebble and they made me leave, was I wrong?"

Definitely! Reminds me how many times I’ve heard the commentators during the Pro-Am say “you know all the greens here combined will fit in the blah blah green at the old course”. It’s like clockwork.

How’s the weather at PB like when playing- is it skin cutting cold or would a FJ wind long sleeve do the trick?

It was great today and yesterday. Low 60s, very minimal wind. I wore pants and and just a polo today. FJ long sleeve would have definitely been more than enough for most today.

Depends. Weather around there can change pretty quick but both times I've been there have been around my birthday (Oct 28) and the weather was perfect. Pants and short sleeves and honestly could have gotten away with shorts.

I'd imagine December till around now ... probably pretty chilly. For CA. 😉

Finally there next week 🙂 op really helped our packing plans- don’t want to freeze to death up there coming from LA.

LAYERS! It can be 60°, but if the wind picks up be prepared. I definitely could have gotten away with shorts yesterday. I do run warm though.

Honourable mention for the David Gossett locker! Such a shame he wasn’t able to fulfil the potential that he had.

I’m a 10 and shot an 82. I was happy with it. No bad days at Pebble though 🙂

That sounds good and as long as you're happy with it that's what counts and you're right about no bad days at Pebble as it's one of my favorite areas to visit for the day or stay.

So were you "surprised by someone's game" when you found out they were both plus handicaps? Seriously though, Pebble Beach Co encourages this by marketing to non-golfers. But imagine playing with or behind those two.

Next time play Spyglass. Half the price right now and 1% of the tourists.

Definitely on my bucket list.

spent a few days our there in 2019.   Never got to play.   Went to the course. Amazing.

Absolutely. I highly recommend to anyone, golf or no golf, to get to Carmel and experience it. Take the 10 min. drive to the course and check it out. Was just down there for a little 2 day get away.

For quite a few years in a row, the ideal post holiday detox after all the parties and family stuff, was a few days just after New Years staying at Casa Palmero for some golf and spa relaxing.  January weather in Monterey can be fantastic.  Bright sun, not too cold and barely a breath of wind.  That and low crowds just made it ideal.  I sure miss those days.

Definitely need to get back soon to play the newly renovated Peter Hay to see what I can score just using a putter!

It is interesting to read about the folks who play Pebble.  When I was on a golf trip to Scotland in '99 my friend and I tried to walk on the Old Course.  Got up at 3 a.m. stood in line for 3 hours.  The tourist in front of us got to the starter and the starter asked him for his handicap card.  The tourist said he didn't have one.  The starter said "sorry, you cannot play without one.  Next."  Just like that this guy wasted over 3 hours of time because he didn't know the rules. My friend and I were lucky- an entire 4 some from America failed to show so we got on.  Played in 3.5 hours; not the 5+ hours  I have read about at Pebble.
