Yeah, the uber delayed coverage stinks. If it was delayed a few hours I'd hold off, but the airing is 6+ hours behind the leaders. Pfffft.

 

On a positive note the coverage next week will be live in the early morning on Thursday and Friday.

Dang, a lot of ebb and flow in today's round. Nelly Korda on top by 2 over Ko, Choi, and Ko. Lydia just double bogied.

I opted for the livestream today. Yesterday I waited for the tape-delay and they showed the results during the men’s event on GC.

Well , I think it all depends on  what Nelly and Patty do but any stumbles by one or both brings in a bunch of folks you don't want in it on the back 9 on a Sunday.

 

I think one thing that won't really go noticed is the fact Lydia's bogey on 18 changes  the make up on the final group and makes them much more unstable.  Lydia is pretty even keeled even on an off day.  Angel Yin on the other hand is very volatile and can hit it all over the park and have one of those rainbow scorecards.  This is not something you wanna be watching when trying to get the win while everyone behind you is free wheeling.

 

But Sunday looks like it's gonna be a very fun day.

I may be inventing this out of nothing, but Lydia's swing now looks more like Annika's. Given that they live right next to each other, do they talk to each other or discuss golf?

This is so true, especially considering how young the final group are.  Nelly, 22, is the oldest of the group.  Angel is also 22 and Patty is only 21.

 

How many times have we seen it, when Jin Young Ko clean it up after all said and done!

The Friday leaders definitely let the rest of the field back into this. There were plenty of birdies to be had, and even par to 2 under isn't quite getting it done. 

 

I'm thinking anyone in the top 10 still has a chance, but the bottom half are going to need 66s or better. 

 

Jin Young just doesn't fade away. Watch out.

My bet to win (literally) is Lydia, I put a couple bucks on her just now at 8-1 lol  But I can easily see JYK slip in a smooth 66 or Lexi have a round and drop a 65.

OK, call me a curmudgeon, but we don't need to see Annika every two minutes. She's 17 shots off the lead, and heading in the wrong direction. Several players are making significant moves, and we haven't seen a single shot from them.

I had the pleasure of being there and watching Angel Yin actually WIN in Dubai a couple years ago in a playoff with IK Kim no less. She has a chance. But my money is on JYK right now.

That's a nice memory to have.  I wouldn't be against Ko the Younger that's for sure.

With her in the last group off 10 today I fear they’ll use(waste) a camera on her instead of a group of possible contenders.

I was wondering why everybody made birdie on par 4 #5 and wondered whether it's a driveable.  It's 354 yards, so I thought it must be a generous pin loction.

 

I checked the pin location and it's right at the sweet spot, at left middle of the hole.

Congretulations Nelly!  It's a sweet revenge after what happened at ANA last year.  

 

As I expected, Nelly threw her hat in the ring to Jin Young, Sei Young and Inbee; "Game On!"  

 

Nelly will move to Rolex #3, ahead of Inbee Park.

As I mentioned before, I expect the combo of Nelly/Brooke/Lydia will outplay Jin Young/Sei Young/Inbee from this year on; they're off to a flying start.

Nelly followed her big sister with a consecutive win; but there's no doubt who won the bigger fish.

Congrats to Nelly, well earned.  Nelly has played the best this week, 4 very solid rounds all from 67-69.  It could open the flood gates for her.

 

Lexi, looking good thru 2 events she could be poised for a win very soon.  Lydia had a nice bounce back day, she's trending up but her mistake was not taking advantage yesterday.  JYK play her 1st event in months wasn't quite as dialed in as she need to be this week.  Angel had  a rough finish but was holding it together very well for 15 holes, Patty got herself a lesson on the learning curve which will help her down the road.

This is very difficult to post without using a massive dose of profanity, but I'll give it a try. Is it absolutely necessary for NBC/TGC to announce the results of the LPGA tournament during the PGA coverage when they've made the decision to not show the event until the wee hours of the night? I simply don't understand the utter stupidity of the clowns managing the schedule and broadcast. Grrrrrr.

Totally agree.  It's like they just they're not even trying to take the LPGA seriously.  Let alone respect not only the Tour but the fans.
