The final entry list has 69 players. The reserve list is larger. Go figure.

The 2019 and 2018 events had 63 players in the field. Remember that this is a no-cut tournament.

@Argonne69 Could you pls  share the Link to the “Entry List” for this HSBC event that you mentioned in an earlier posting here?

Am curious whether you’re referring to the HSBC WWC website (Link: https://www.hsbcgolf.com/womens/qualifying-field )

... or the LPGA ‘priority list’ (https://www.lpga.com/-/media/files/priority-list/2021/2021lpga-priority-listupdate042621.pdf)

..or other source? Thanks

This is extremely popular among Chinese and Korean women.  They wear it to avoid exposure to the sun.  They do not want their faces to become tanned for cultural reasons.   These are sold for golf purposes by Alibaba on their market place website.

And here we are with anti maskers protests 😂

Love the sound of a rooster cockadoodling in the middle of the course now at 1025am there... (Or whatever bird that was lol)

@Supermilo: it’s No ordinary “rooster” 🐓that you’re hearing during today’s tv broadcast... it’s actually a junglefowl with particularly vibrant plumage (that it likes to crow about!)

..p/s: Need to also be wary of the pesky ~50 peacocks 🦚 that prowl Sentosa GC’s Golf course & carpark!

Dang!  Lydia is living right.  That billiard's shot put her right back in it. lol

The last 10mins =Bonkers! /billiards (off Hannah Green’s ball) for eagle 🦅 for Lydia on 18th...

InBee’s double-bogey on 16th... and quadruple-bogey 9 for HeeYoung also on 16th...

Do folks remember XiYu Lin’s kerfuffle involving Mizuno irons in Sept2020 , prior to the ANA?
Perhaps a missed marketing opportunity for Mizuno! (Now that XiYu is near the top of Leaderboard?)

I can only recall one tournament ever where they were using some fancy tech to give all the flight details - carry, run-out, apex, deviation etc. - but only on one hole. It was incredibly interesting. Most players were carrying 220-240, but getting a lot of run-out. Some of the shorter hitters, and mis-hits were back around 200.

Wasn't that the U.S. Women's Open when Fox was covering it?

Didn't Tim and Kate share a story about Tim's rental car getting attacked by a peacock in the car park when it saw its reflection in the car's door? He said that's why he takes a taxi to the course now. Lol.

@Argonne69 I missed that story... but wouldn’t be surprised! The peacocks 🦚 might look photogenic... but they can be quite territorial (photo =by me... they patrolled the Sentosa carpark & refused to move to allow me to get my golf bag into the car!)

In Gee in the hunt. Be still my beating heart. Lol.

Alas, the Rocket came crashing back to Earth. Sigh. Definitely hope she rebounds with a good final round.

It's still looking like Inbee's to lose at this point. She's been in this position so many times before, and has Sunday nerves of steel. Having said that there's a 50/50 chance that someone else will hole out from the fairway for eagle to win by one.

Very impressed with Hannah's steady play over the last 4 events, a lot of players get on a roll for a few weeks then fade away, she's just getting better each week.

Hannah Green almost

had 2 eagles 🦅 in 4 holes (10th: eagle) and 13th (eventually birdie... eagle

try just missed)

In Gee is 5 under on the day,....they show one iron swing....and it hits a tree.  Go figure

Well, they ended up showing about 4 of her shots, and 3 were stinkers. one was a superb 2-foot tap in.

She really isn't flavour of the month. If her money in the Diamond Resorts were counted (which it isn't because she was a sponsor invite) she would b 13th on the money list for this season. Apparently that's not enough to get interest.

Mizuno has no staff members on the LPGA Tour? Hee Young is a Mizuno staff member.

If she hadn't failed top sign her scorecard at the Kia she would very likely be in the Top 10 on the money list. Ugh.

Some interesting rules infractions! Did you all see Carlota's penalty drop, that her caddie nabbed before it had gone a club length. he got a very stern rebuke from the official! But Carlota wasn't penalised.

Another interesting one for me was Hannah's tap in on 18. She putted it from where it finished after the cannon, not it's original spot. I guess none of the group saw the cannon from the fairway, but it makes me wonder (and especially with televised events) how much extra information is taken into account?

Anyway, interesting tournament! I was actually a little glad that the Queen Bee didn't just run away with it. I am not against her, but the sake of an exciting tournament it was a good move. Should make for a riveting final round.

I was pretty disappointed with Hee Young's shenanigans on the 16th green. The initial wedge into the water was just one bad shot, and can happen to anybody. But her first chip after the drop, which I didn't see - how the hell can she miss the green from there? And her second effort was just a quick yippy stab, and just really sad. One of the things we admire about the pros is they don't mentally disintegrate like lesser golfers. But the signs had been there before that. I found myself loving Hee Young's swing, but very skeptical about her chipping, even before the 16th.

Anyway, Go Hannah! (Or Lydia or In Gee).
