Mines being built now…LH 4-PW, custom shafts (Project X 6.5 LZ), length and lie adjustment as well…pre-ordered July 6th.

That's crazy I ordered the same shafts but in the 770 back in June 28th and they were telling me the 7 and 8iron shafts were back ordered, that kind of makes me mad as I just canceled mine.

I was told mine was on back order for the 7,8 iron shafts until mid September. I just happened to check my Card and it had been charged. I called and asked if they came in and all they said was that my clubs were starting the build process.

Lord, what a mess. Well kudos to you I gave up ultimately as I have already waited 2 months with 2 more to go.

Yeah but did you order "left" handed shafts...thats the big question.  I hear your frustration as I ordered my clubs on June 29th and the customer service guy on the phone told me I was one of the first to order.  then he had to tell me that my clubs are delayed a few weeks.

Haha, its pretty wild what they are experiencing. Bad time to work in customer service for TM.

My 790's will be here tomorrow, as long as Ida Remnants don't disturb Fed Ex.  Ordered Recoil plus 1/2 and upright, stock grip.

Also FYI, ordered a SIM2 Max driver last Wednesday for a customer during our MyFitEXP and it showed up today.   In his hands in less than a week.  I'd say TM has ramped up some production or gotten a bunch of components in.

It seemed like the seller was trying to capitalize on getting one of the first sets, by throwing it up in a quick 24 hour auction. But it didn't turn out as expected and they probably lost money after ebay got their cut.

Highly doubtful that he lost money. Probably someone with a PDP acct that get's 40% off. I'm sure he tried the quick flip and it didn't work like you said but I'm sure he still made money on it.

I'm so annoyed...I called twice this week and was told each time that my clubs would be in production on the 8th and sent to me by the 16th. I asked to switch shafts to something else and they just said for the couple days difference it may not be worth it as he couldn't garrentee the clubs would go right to production...well this evening I received yet another email that my clubs have been delayed to the 30th. Wth. Project x lz 6.0 shafts. Not happy as I placed my order on June 29th and was told I was one of the first to pre-order and yet I've heard that others have received there clubs with the same shafts.

Similar situation for me this week. Tuesday they told me all components were in stock, the set was in production and I would have the set in hand 9/8. Today(and let’s face it calling multiple times because I don’t really trust them until I have tracking) they said they had just received the components today and expected ship date was 9/13.

Tonight I get a delay email pushing them back to 9/23. Talk about great customer service.

of course I’ll call again tomorrow

I was originally told 9/1. I had placed the order within an hour of when you could back in June. Mine were custom shafts and custom grips, lie and length.

2 weeks ago without calling at any point, I was updated via email that my P790 club set would be delayed to 9/14, no big deal. I had assumed that this is the case with everything now a days. My buddies callaways ordered in late May still have not arrived.

anyway, was I surprised when they arrived at my home last wednesday.

So I call today to switch my shafts to a comparable shaft as I did two days ago and I get a recording that taylormade is closed due to the labor day weekend.  WTH.  Labor day is Monday.  now I will have to wait for my call until Tuesday and by then who knows what the heck is happening with stock. so annoyed.  I get they are doing there best during this time but I should have stuck to my guns and switched my shafts out two days ago.

Don't be annoyed, no one is jumping ahead of you. Each & every manufacturer is doing their absolute best to build & deliver clubs with the same quality control.  Several manufactures have opted for a very expensive air freighting to help with demand and shorten lead times cutting into profits deeply.

The trouble is inconsistency in the pipe line of raw materials, such as heads, shaft especially ( more so with stiff and X) and grips. There is even shortages on cardboard and packing material. There is also  a shortage of Containers that sit on freighters ( boats) Add into the fact that there is also a skilled labor shortage. I went to my local high volume Audi dealer for an oil change, guess what they were out of Audi oil filters but had a 3rd party filter and asked me if that was OK?  My wife saw a Q3 the other day in red, I asked about that, the salesmen said oh those are back ordered till next April - hopefully we'll have them. We can take a deposit otherwise we have grey sooner. its crazy

This is not limited to Golf clubs its basically everything, furniture, electronics, trucks, food and autos.  And lets not forget about medical supplies and their delays. The chip shortage also hurts the cost of chips prepandemic were in the 3-5 dollar range now are in the mid to $30 range with further prices out goods such cordless tooth brushes and point and shoot cameras out of reach price wise. The bottom line is don't be in a hurry for anything any more. These delays will improve but not back to consist levels for another year or two.

Being in the import and logistics with manufactures I can assure you the days of ordering something and getting it in a few days such as golf clubs. Order today and and be playing with them inside of 10 days will be a case of extreme luck in the year ahead.  There are countless stories of people being fitted in April and May from leading manufactures that still have not arrived.

Take a deep breath, lessen your "its about me and I want X now" and remind yourself its only golf clubs.  Be patient

thank you for your well thought out reply.  I also am in the manufacturing and logistics business and understand everything you said. I guess I'm more annoyed at myself for not switching the shafts to something that was in stock when I had the opportunity.  The gentleman on the phone talked me out of it as it would only speed things up about 4 days.  so I listened but then got the email only hours later that they are being delayed another 30 days.  The Customer service people at Taylormade have been very nice and helpful on the phone and doing the best they can. I get it and I've told them every time I call and talk to them what a great job they are doing.  The last thing is I'm headed on a golf trip soon and would have really loved to have the new clubs and was told several times I would have them to only get the email last night.  I guess its more disappointment then annoyance.

For everyone who has posted they have there clubs or will in the next couple days I am happy for you and would love to hear your reviews after hitting a couple rounds with them. Now go hit'em

Good luck with your call...they are closed till Tuesday due to the Labor Day weekend.  On one hand I'm happy for the people who work there they get a 4 day weekend but my selfish side of me says they are customer service based and should be working today...ha
