It works on so many levels because Rickie always stays and supports others but also doesn't always make the cut, it's the perfect unexpected heel turn.

I know this account is always complaining about how Reed has late early draws more frequently then the rest of the PGA Tour. But according to the graph, Dustin, JT and, Bryson are more likely to get a late/early draw then Reed.

Exactly. The PGA Tour is OBSESSED with data analytics. If their system of drawing/assigning tee times was faulty they'd know it and correct it.

It's 100% a tactic being leveraged to increase brand awareness and exposure to new blood.  I give them credit for trying something new - change isn't exactly easy for the PGA

So I just found out that the last 3 major champions this year had late-early tee times. I was under the impression that most guys prefer late-early since it just feels like one long round. I found this graph from 2016 and it seems like a pretty even spread on where the winner came from.
