You mean the private message I ignored? Here's the thing… I don't owe you an answer.

This is the best answer I have ever seen. Some of us appreciate the input from people like Karstens_ghost and don’t feel he owes us an explanation of where he gets his info from. I don’t have a clue what’s coming but hope he is correct. If not…..oh well. Plenty of other people speculating also. I’m not gonna hold their feet to the fire if they are wrong.

‘’personally……thanks for your info/speculation

They have a decent amount of tour players who play i210. I have a hard time believing they love offset.
for me I was never a huge fan. I need a little more spin on my irons and was thinking these might be a great club. Hit some yesterday. Liked everything except the offset.

A little offset is your friend. You just have to learn to adjust to it.

It is about finding clubs that match your game. Not matching your game to clubs. My miss is left. Anything that looks like it wants to go left isn’t my friend.

If your miss is left, it's going to be left with whatever you play. That might be the thing to try to correct.

I've been there and believe me its not the equipment.

Right, I am working on my swing. But I won’t buy a club, that in my mind that will make it go left. At the end of the day your clubs have to give you confidence. Offset gives me no confidence. Which is why it is a deal breaker. The amount of offset on these doesn’t give me confidence. The i500 on the other hand looks perfect. Both in size and offset. I just don’t like hallow. I don’t spin in much anyway. So I would have went with i210 to increase spin. But the offset is a deal breaker. I will check out the replacement when it comes in. Otherwise I will simply go with the other brand I’m looking at.

The short irons have very little offset.

The best looking short irons in the game.

Yeah, I was hitting the 7 iron. Which I felt had a lot of offset. Which made me concerned what the 4 iron would look like.

LOL. Sweet. Another take on the offset. 😪

Thank you for a positive feedback. I like the size of the iron. Super forgiving. Just hope the next one is a little better.

I have zero info on the i210 replacement but based on the success of the i200 and i210 with Pro's and Amateurs I would be surprised if the i210 replacement had significantly reduced offset.

PING already offers 3 other models with less offset than the i210.

This is my 2 cents, time will tell.

Fair. But it seems like the general theme has been from most brands is to make the shift. I very well could be wrong

That's why they have 3 other models with less offset including the new i59 which most people say is pretty similar in forgiveness as the i210.

A little too small for me. My top choice would be mizuno jpx 921 tour. If I don’t love the i210 replacement, I’ll go with mizuno

7 iron offset:

i210: 0.09"

921T: 0.11"

I want to thank you for this. When I set it down last week it looked massive. I only kept stating it because it was a top contender for my bag. It would give me spin, forgiveness, but whether real or not if it looks like it will go with something that doesn’t seem that way. Perception and confidence mean a lot.

I really do appreciate you taking the time to share this. It gives me confidence to look at it again. Every time I try equipment I end up looking at the 921 tours. I am good enough to play them. I just want golf to become easier to play, not harder. I’ll give the replacement consideration because it. Thanks again

offset graph shouldn't change your statements one bit

It's your perceived look & it doesn't fit your eye........science or not

No doesn’t change anything, except I’m willing to check out the new one instead of writing them off.

what I found interesting was the i500 and i210 say they have the same. Yet look completely different

I’ve played Mizuno and Titleist since 05, blades, CBs, MP line. Went down the offset rabbit hole. Anything to reduce my miss from going left.  I put the 210s in my bag and my whole perspective has changed.  My closure rate is way lower. Possibly the perimeter weighting and the CG being more centered and further away from the hosel.

I would give them a try. I haven’t looked back

Whether the offset is too much for your swing from a viewpoint of mechanics is one thing.  If you can't be comfortable looking at the offset is another thing.  I don't know if it is a good idea to buy irons that don't look right to you.  People will point out that some great Ping staffers play them (Westwood -- "I hate the high draw.") but your preference is what's important.
