PING i210 replacement when?

But I believe the i59 are the new iBlade. Gotta' admit, the i59s are pretty forgiving for its size. Ping did an excellent job - get the power specs and you have your distance iron. I have mine as one degree strong to start.

The new iron is complete for the replacement for i210.  Ping is holding it back to get everything back on track in lead time on orders and in store product.  could be may or June before we see anything.

It would be nice to see the i230 blend nicely with the glide 4.0 wedges like they did during this outgoing model. To slot it in nicely between the i59 and the i525, we should be seeing slightly more MOI than the i59, a slightly springier face (sitting right between the i59 & i525)with the new groove pattern.

 

I would love to see the continues use of the elastomer, although if it was hidden a bit more that would be alright. Taking a look at the patent photos, it almost looks like they're using the elastomer as a filling (like speedfoam/microspheres) inside the clubhead, while keeping the i59/blueprint exterior shape... I think this would be a knockout of a club, especially if you can mess around with internal weighting.... keep the juicy info coming

You can fill in or replace up to two clubs per serial number.

Any ping retailer. You can’t but from ping directly.  Morton’s golf will order add on irons with a serial number. Give them a buzz.

Ping i210 are the best irons I’ve owned. Hopefully ping matches them with the 4.0s

Although I'm a huge Ping fan and am eagerly awaiting the new version of the i210's to come out. If they don't live up to expectations -> I must say the Ping Glide 4.0 wedges would look pretty good combo'd with the upcoming 2022 Cobra Forged Tec irons.

Feels weird to put this in the Ping group but those new forged tec look/feel/sound incredible, and they sure have some looks shared with the new glides!

I know US Ping fans are a tight knit group, so I don't want to step on any toes posting about Cobra here. I play Scotty putter, forged pro wedges, blueprints, g425 hybrid, 2 crossover, g425 max 3 wood and g425 lst driver -- so believe me I LOVE PING, but just hoping that these i210's meet expectations and are that much better than outgoing models to warrant the wait.

I agree. I’ve been thinking the same thing.

It’s probably safe to assume that the I210 replacement is going to resemble the glide 4.0s quite a bit..

Given how impressive the feedback is on the i210's i just don't think that is possible.

No matter what Ping does, there's always a rite for any new I series iron.   Should just put a link to prior releases to get it out of the way.

• The size will be criticized... too small for some, too big for others.
• The feel won't be as good as a forging.
• Some accent color or line will be a deal breaker.
• Some will be glad that they ordered i210s (or a backup set).
• And finally, "Ping has lost its way"

Went to an outdoor Ping fitting on Friday and the guy said August "maybe" and that was it. Didn't even carry 210's in the fitting cart so it was either i59 or i525 (which felt surprisingly good).

210’ s have been largely unavailable since Q2 of last year (I tried ordering June last year), so it has been a LONG time for Ping to be out of this segment.

I just want the new iron to have a swingweight solution so simple that Ping UK can’t balls it up & think that d6 is as good as it gets for 1/2 inch longer.

I've been a Ping devoutee since the mid 80's when I first put Eye 2's in my bag.  There's a reason that almost all their staffers still have i210s in their bag.....they were freaking good.  Personally, S55 was as far as I got before age started to change my swing, but I've hit the 210s a few times and agree that Ping better have it's A Game on when they release the replacement.  Hopefully that's what's taken them so long.

 

I also agree that it could be perfect and this forum will complain.

I’ll be first in line to order a set of these.  I really regret selling my i210s.  I had a few bad rounds and I really didn’t like the offset on the 4 iron so I went searching but haven’t found anything I like as much.

FWIW, I paired mine with some P770 long irons and love the mixed set. Just gotta figure out where you cut the set off

That’s a good call.  I was considering the i500s for long irons but got impatient and went in another direction.
