Bushnell Launch Pro Device with Foresight

I have tried to understand the comments above and i am still confused. If i purchase a used device from a friend, He purchased in 2021, Will i be able to see ball and club data on the device with no subscription? And if i want to use the FSX2020 I will need to purchase a subscription?

My understanding is that if it’s unlocked, you’ll see club data and be able to use software. If it’s not unlocked, you have to pay for a subscription to access any sort of software to link up with the launch pro.

So, the last firmware up changed the setting to default Left handed. That was why my Launch Pro wasn't reading my shots. 2 minute call to tech support.

I may neither confirm nor deny that I may have gone through a session wondering why the shots weren't being picked up until somehow I noticed that the machine was set to left handed.  Somehow my fat finger hit that button when checking some other setting. I was pretty relieved when I figured it out because I was getting really POed. 🤣

It was reading properly I believe before the most recent update. It’s reading at roughly half of what I know my elevation is.

Mine has been all over the place on start-up. I've even seen negative numbers but I don't pay much attention to it as I mostly use it for sim purposes and play the altitude at each course or range. I'm unsure if it takes a while to register correctly after being on for a bit but will check tonight.

also, the ball/club version is sold out right now, so not as if they are struggling to move units!

I've never had any luck with it.  I am in Florida, and it says I'm -118 feet.  That might be because of the temperature and pressure.  I turned if off and now sea level is my setting.

I’m not exactly sure how this happened, but I seem to have backed my way into getting a free year of basic subscription. I bought the ball-only unit, and the 14-day gold trial expired. I went to the foresight live site to potentially pay for gold, and it landed me at a prompt to choose a subscription. I could get a year of basic for free, or pay for gold.

I’ve settled on getting an RTX 4070 and would like to go AMD since every PC I’ve ever built has been AMD. 

 

Finally got around to building this PC and no problems running FSX Play with the AMD CPU.
 

I do have a problem getting the PC to recognize the unit via USB. WiFi and Ethernet are options(WiFi drops occasionally) but USB would easy and probably most reliable If it worked. Anyone else run into this issue or even using USB?

USB was unreliable for me.  It would only show up occasionally.  I’ve moved to Ethernet and it has been super stable.  The latest firmware seems to connect to the computer much faster than it did before.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reverse engineer the following data points with the available data given from BLP? If there is a way to do it, I'd be happy to make the excel sheet.

That all would depend on where the ball struck the club face. They had that info on the GSPro game changer app before the GC integration, however the data was assuming it was a center strike from what I understand.

My boss recently bought a Bushnell LP and he realized he needs a gaming computer for it.  

 

May I ask if there are recommendations for a solid computer to support this?  He has a TV as his monitor if that is helpful info, i.e. I assume he would need an HDMI output from the computer?

Hey all -- sorry if this has been asked before.

I bought my BLP back in 2022, had the "basic" plan. They then switched the "Basic" plan from $50 a year to $250 a year, then they just removed it? I think I got baited into buying the gold subscription because I really wanted to use a software that wouldn't straight up crash. Now I can access FSX 2020 and it runs fine, FSX Play runs like a potato and I can't even get the driving range to work despite paying the $500 dollar subscription fee...

I think I'm done with this unit. It does have the Club/Ball unlock since I purchased it back when that was standard. Any idea what the price would be if I tried to sell this used? It's such a frustrating unit to troubleshoot and they seem to be constantly changing the subscription model which seems really scummy. My fear is they will eventually charge $750 or $1000 a year just to use software.

Just unboxed my BLP tonight and thought I got away with something when the install seemed to be seamless.  Software to the computer, registration, and everything hooked up correctly and displaying on computer and projector.  Put the first ball down, immediately detected it, locked on....Swing..."multiple balls detected" no data.  For the next 3 hours I read and tried different fixes; shoes, lighting, updated software, ball position, etc.  No dice.  The unit has not read a single shot, does the same thing every time.  I've also tried different balls, clubs, shoes, wide stance, close stance, standing over the unit and smacking the ball with the back of the club to take shoes and myself out of it...nothing different.  The only difference detected was that once I did the firmware update after it would detect the ball it would cycle to the data pages on the unit, before it would stay on the hitting area screen.  

Anyone had an experience like this yet and if so what was your fix?  Is my BLP a paperweight?

Are you having issues with the launch monitor itself or just FSX Play? Your post makes me assume it’s FSX Play but didn’t want to jump to conclusions. 
 

FSX Play is extremely graphics intensive and you unfortunately need a fairly high end gaming desktop to run it smoothly. Even on low to mid-level graphics…
