I was just being a little enthusiastic with the Augusta prediction. Limited golf activity could be as little as putting for 30 mins a day. In 2017 he didn't start chipping/pitching about 5 months after the back surgery.

I've gotta few: don't go for the pin on 12 if it's front right and use a cart I've heard it's a tough walk.

Listen to the caddie.  You will be playing from the Member tees so don't think you are going to the tips where the Pro's play.

Healing process should hopefully accelerate from here.

I think that limp should put an end to the Augusta 2022 talk. Even with good progress, he isn’t pivoting on that leg anytime soon. Late summer seems like a more likely target.

The video of him walking does not look promising to me.  8 or 9-months out I'd think he'd look more solid on his feet than that.

“More specifically, Mahajan (MD, chief medical officer at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center), said Woods suffered "comminuted open fractures," meaning his tibia and fibula bones had shattered and broken through the skin”

 

Thats gotta take like 5-6 months to just heal so you can freely bear weight. He was just on crutches not long ago. And if he’s “forcing” himself to walk with the limp, i think it means his docs are fine with him loading the leg even if it’s uncomfortable or even causes some pain. 
 

Who knows if he tees it up on tour. But his progress seems good. It’s the unrealistic expectations that skew perspective given how gruesome the injuries were.

Agreed.  I wonder if it will ever go swag and with that limp it’s only going to shift how he walks and will affect his hips and it lower back. I’m not sure and I hope not but perhaps he’s done.

Agreed.  The mere fact that he is walking on that leg this soon (and the ankle seems to be articulating well) is pretty much spectacular.  The limp (I'd be limping too) is no big deal.  Still has a long road to go before he is strong enough to do more than walk on it.  5 months from now is long time and a lot of healing can happen in that time.  Being pain free is the goal.  Golf is just a dream for now.

No chance at Torrey. Long course in cold weather…nah. Best scenario I can imagine is Bay Hill as a tuneup before the Masters and even that would be pushing it.

Maybe if he feels good, he plays in the Par 3 Contest with Charlie.  Don't see him walking on that hilly course.

He is recovering fast , 

 

had a similar injury at 24 .... took a year to be even semi comfortable taking a swing without pain (trusting I was not going to snap something) 

 

another year to get back to "regular" golf semi pain free walking the course 

 

another year to get back to where I was 

 

Tiger is not coming back till The Masters 23 best case( in my non medical opinion ) happy to be wrong here.

Guaranteed he will. 
 

May be 2-3 years out. But he’s definitely playing the Masters again. 
 

The hardest part is over. He’s up and about. Now it’s just getting stronger.
