you were OK with typing out "Ventus Velocore Blue 7S", but couldn't be bothered to type out Fujikura?

You may have already gotten your answer but just my two cents.

I have a stealth plus, buddy has a sim 2 and they’re about identical distance wise. And almost look wise as well.

only think I don’t like about the TM in the hosel adjustments. I like the titleist system better. Luckily I was able to find a 16.5° head and will roll with the TM in my 3 and titleist in my 5

I just bought the Sub 70 3w and 5w. Both have adjustable necks and two weight ports on the sole (heel and back). They come with 6g, 9g, and 12g weights. That's pretty dang adjustable. I had the 9g in the heel and 12g in the back, but it was fading and lower launch than I wanted. Changed to 9g in the heel and 6g in the back and instantly had straight, high shots that I was looking for. Paired with a Pro Force V2 shaft that you probably can't get from an OEM order. Oh, and I started with an Evenflow shaft, didn't like it so sent it back to switch to the Pro Force. So technically the shaft is also "adjustable" up to 60 days. Let me see Callaway, TM, or Titleist do that.

Maybe. Just hated the way the SIM colors looked so I never gave it a shot.

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.

as well as SIM2 Max hooked

Liked Ping's g400/410 but like Nate said really comes down to what you are looking for.

Ping g410 3 wood. It's been so good I picked up the 5 wood and 3 hybrid. I have a Sim Ti 5 wood that is a beast but it's also very hook prone. I probably would have been happy with a g410 -

7 wood rather than the hybrid but good luck finding one for a reasonable price. As far as shaft that's very individual specific.

I only get along with Cobra and Taylormade woods. Tried to like Titleist and Callaway,  but just don't hit them well.

Cobra is easier (much easier) but Taylormade is longer.  Currently playing Cobra 5w and 7w and a Stealth+ 5w as my 3w. Yes, I am carrying two 5w.... haha

Same deal for me. I go back and forth between sim Ti 3/5 woods and my F8 3/5 woods. The Cobra's are just incredibly straight and easy to launch off the deck.

A play 5-Wood Sim Ti and my

friend plays 3-wood Sim Ti. I play my 5-wood lowered to 17.5 ° and 3 degrees open.

I hit normal strikes about 280-285 Yards driver. And my 5-wood from Tee went 265 Yards last time yesterday.

I play Driver / 5-wood 17.5 ° / 7-wood 22.5 °

The Sim Ti is so dam hot and you can hit it really long😳😁

Such a great idea.  Dang you can crush your woods!

I chase Tour Issue heads because they are open faced most of the time.  But pay a price for this and I really should have just snagged a 5w and open it up.

Anyways I got my Sim Tour Issue TI 16* and a Tour Issue Cobra Radspeed Pro 17.9* that goes well off the deck.  Then a Tour Issue M2 5hl (7w) that's 215 high and lands soft.

Now I just need some game again.

  • 1 year later...

Bringing this topic back. It's so tough to find a good adjustable 3-Wood that is a fit for me being 6'7.

The SIM2 Ti was the best one I ever hit, but made the terrible mistake of selling it and trying to replace it with the Stealth Plus 3W.

The Stealth Plus was too low spin and Fade biased for me, and I just tested the Stealth 2 Plus 3W at my local shop the other day and found the same issue. Tried 5 different shafts, and no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to go straight or left...absolutely everything was a Fade or Slice.

I've got an M5 Ti that performs just as well as the SIM2 Ti, but the one I picked up was very scratched up on the bottom and just don't like the cosmetic look of a club with damage. SIM2 Ti's are sold out everywhere here in Canada new and used. I'll buy a SIM2 Ti if I come across a used one in good shape, or miraculously find a new one.

Unfortunately, the Stealth Plus and Stealth 2 Plus have gone too far down the low-spin and Fade-biased path for them to work for me.

I’ve settled (for now) on a TSR3. Got it lofted up slightly and the weight as far in the heel as possible. I’ve had lots of 3 woods over the past few years, this is bad far the best one.

Why does it have to be adjustable? Has anyone ever tried the TaylorMade Glorie 3W, it's the JDM version of TM and if you haven't tried it you should, actually they all are pretty good but try them for yourself, what works for someone here may not work for you.
