As I finally bite the bullet and purchase the Stealth driver I don’t need… I’m ready for someone to leak some prototype photos of the 2023 version! 😂

You are correct as @EricWGolfpointed out. They usually pull out on Wednesday afternoon to head to the next event.  
 

They may leave behind a driver or othet club requested by the player.  
 

But replacing full sets every week as the lunatic litteraly posted but has tried to backtrack ain’t happening 😂

I work at a golf retailer and we have warrantied significantly less Stealth drivers than we have for Sim or Sim 2

it does - you can kinda make it out in the 2nd picture.

 

TM hasn't said anything about face durability of this version, but let's hope it doesn't have the same disappointing failure rates as the original stealth.

Stealth 2 very much reminds me of Sim 2 with Stealth color ways and carbon face. It’s that aluminum ring, inertia generator, and rear weight.  Could be a very good driver, bc Sim 2 was forgiving and everyone knows Stealth was fast.

Hmmmm, more carbon in the body, bet this one is going to feel/sound really good. I'm really liking every new driver this year, going to be a lot of BST posts and trips to fedex for me this spring.

To validate your comments, what exactly is it you do for the Tour? What is your role that you are so aware of equipment failure on Tour? Where did you acquire all the information regarding the massive failure rate?

clearly you didnt even carefully read what i wrote. I said I nor anyone else here has the exact numbers, but you can do a quick google/wrx search for yourself to see all the problems people have complained about regarding the stealth (in less than one season no less). Haven't seen that kind of failure rate from any other TM driver, even those 5+ years old

Some of this is based on personal preference and some based on what are IMO objective improvement for most folks. 

Like a few other companies, Taylormade often uses front/back/track adjustable weights on their "lower spin" models e.g. Stealth+, OG SIM, M5, M3, M1 etc with the non-adjustable models having fixed weights more towards the back of the head for higher MOI. The adjustable models had a lot of discretionary weight to play with, usually 20-22g, but it wasn't until the first SIM that the rear weight was actually kept properly low in the head. All the previous M-series models (save for the M6) had a sole shape that caused weight to get higher and higher as it was moved back, which would raise CG and thus raise the sweet spot which raises spin on average. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it meant that making the driver more forgiving by pulling weight back would increase spin in two ways (higher sweet spot and more potential dynamic loft from the rear weight) leaving your lower spinning options (weight more forward with the sweet spot lower) being inherently less forgiving. It's the whole "low and back" concept that everyone strives for, and all the M-series drivers were either "low and forward" or "high and back" because of the moveable weight placement. 
 

Enter the SIM with a more exaggerated version of the M6's sole shape which keeps the rear weight low in the head. Now with the stock 10g front/12g rear weight setup you have a lot to play with, and all options keep weight lower in the head. Dropping the front weight to 4g and increasing the rear weight to 18g suddenly gives you a club with similar or even slightly higher MOI (forgiveness) than the SIM MAX but with a lower CG thanks to head design (smaller, shallower face). More forgiveness but with less spin increase compromise. And with the number of weight options available you can go even further which is great for those that like heavier heads and or/shorter lengths. I play my SIM at 44.5" and have the weight setup 7g front/21g rear with an additional 5g of hotmelt in the back channel, so basically 7g/26g. Almost PING-like stability  while still being lower spin since all of that weight is low, and all that is needed to drop spin even further is to decrease loft. It's setup that gives a ton of benefits with far fewer drawbacks than other head designs, and it's just as possible on the Stealth+ and likely the Stealth+ 2 based on the sound of things.

I just did a quick google search, and found the same number of pictures for SIM failures.  Additional pictures for M5 and M6 failures too.  Without actual OEM data, we are just yelling at clouds.

The real question I want to know is will Taylormade finally come out with a stock 16.5, 4 wood head in a non bonded design? 
 

Still gaming a Sim2 3 wood, which is almost too hot, therefore usually gets little to no action on the course.
