Its cool but its an expensive and limited rich city boy type of deal for people with cash to burn and a high handicap who just like being stylish and playing golf. Not much more to it, just a status and hype release. Colorway/cosmetic club changes and some expensive clothing to go with them. Good for Ronnie for branching out into golf. I'm sure itll sell out. Pretty sure few of my friends who own nightclubs that grew up in Aventura know him.

This sort of thing is a huge, huge market. I have an intimate knowledge of this cuz ... uh ... it's the sort of thing that pays my CC dues 😂

 

Nerds like us really aren't the intended demographic - but I think it's a great way to expose golf to a broader audience. Diversity is a good thing.

Stuff looks ok. I think the driver should have had a golden carbon face with black decals, not the opposite. The spider putter looks cool. Not that I'll buy any of it, but I'm cool with them partnering up. Will become a unique used bin find in 5 years.

The apparel looks like they took a bunch of Ashworth and Reebok gear from the 90s and stitched a TaylorMade logo on it...

Reminds me a bit of the Nocta Nike Golf Launch, but this is obviously much larger! I was a big fan of that launch though where I did purchase 2 of the mock necks. I think its great that the game has broadened out in this direction to include more people as well. The only gripe I have is like stated above, some of the designs are a little lacking lol.

Zero chance I’m buying any actual clubs. They’re useless at the price without a fitting. The Soto putter is neat.

 

im a big Ronnie Fieg fan though. First pair of RF ASICS I owned I bought at least 10 years ago.

 

im in for the ball marker, towel, and Headcover. That’s about it

That isn’t as unreasonable as I was expecting. I don’t personally have the desire for any of these designer clubs and would rather spend the extra cash elsewhere in the bag, but I’m sure there is a market somewhere.

This is what growing the game looks like, when golf can reach new age groups and new demographics.

 

The notion that golf is possibly become part of sneaker and streetwear culture is wild to me.

You under estimate these resellers lol. The putting mat sold out in seconds and is already going for near double on the secondary market.

i think you all look at stockx a day after release and think people/everyone is paying double.  just wait until all the units ship and then the undercutting begins.  been doing this sneaker/clothing reselling for 10 years and nothing changes.  If you have first dibs in store or access before release you always make money.  Once everyone receives the shipments the mass exodus begins.  Mark my words this stuff will be going for under retail in no time, clothing that is.

I'm not saying these things will go crazy high - there's seriously no telling what will take off ... I mean, freakin Bass Pro Shops hats had their moment - but I will say golf-centric is pretty new for this market. Stuff like this, the Macklemore line ... it's moving things in a cool direction I'm personally excited about. Not because it's anything I'm personally interested in but I like that it helps move golf away from the whole "old rich white guy"  stereotype. 

 

And THAT is a thing I'm interested in.
